Dizsie - maybe having a baby is a good time to approach your OH again? Or tell him the baby will have your surname unless you get married, that may convince him!

The thing is I don't want a shotgun wedding so it is kind of my own fault!

Had a roll for lunch - not very healthy. bacon and egg roll and then chips with it. its not even been just over an hour and i am hungry again! wth!!

No, they don't. Have you got some essential oil to put on the bag you put them in? I have 'citrussy' and 'flowery' :)

Be careful with citrus oils in the washing machine as it can cause problems.

No problems here - it's an oil specifically for putting on to soapnuts? What can happen with it?

Quick question has anyone brought a used medela electric breast pump. There's a bargain on my local facebay says hardly used and I would buy all new accessories for it but I have read conflicting advice on the Internet? What do you ladies think? Thanks

Had 31 week midwife appoinment this morning (I'm actually 30+5), and GTT results haven't come back (why am I not surprised?!). My iron levels though are 10.9 (11-15 is apparently normal range) so I've been prescribed iron tablets so have to pick those up this afternoon. Anyone got any tips on how to avoid them bunging me up?

Hi, at my booking in my iron levels were 11.3. the normal range quoted beside that figure was 11.5-16, so the consultant had mentioned it and said to eat a bit more red meat as the iron in meat is easier to absorb than in veg.

I had heard on this thread when I was last pregnant about Spatone. It's an iron supplement that is a powder you dissolve in liquid (preferably orange juice as vitamin C aids the absorption of iron). You can get them from Amazon. They are supposed to be all natural and don't cause constipation.

I'm only 20 weeks, but I'm going to order some soon, as I was told low iron level lead to greater blood loss during delivery.

2 Weetabix has 25% of your RDA of iron and is full of fibre, so might help?

On the soapnuts thread on here they said it can rot the rubber in the washing machine over time so to use it sparingly. I have read similar elsewhere, but if it is supplied specifically to use with them then I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. Mine is just cheap essential oils and I use the orange as a room scent and tea tree in the machine.

I'm going to - IIRC all the bits that are in contact with milk get sterilised anyway - although I've no idea how they work or fit together so will have to see!
