Afternoon all,

I've been into town to get some bits I needed including some new shoes as most of mine don't fit my now often giant feet! I just got a few cheap pairs from Primark to last me.

I've come home and packed my suitcase for the weekend. Just got to pack my hospital bag to take too, just in case, but I'm having a sit down as my back is really sore.

Morocha, I'll add you to the list just now.

Re sex to start labour, the midwife at my antenatal class said for it to be effective at softening your cervix you need to DTD about 3/4 times.

Emsbet sounds like your classes were informative, but notes or biccies tut tut! Do you get a tour of the birthing centre etc? We're going in a couple of weeks.

Clarissa are you on Facebook? We've a group on there linked to a lot of mums over on the newborn thread who often have reuseables etc for sale and other bits if you're interested?
Rups maybe OH can help with the defuzz? My OH helped wax my legs yday. He's waxed my bikini line before, but ran out of time. But he gave it a nice trim haha I can't see it but could feel it was overgrown.
Re:DTD we're still very affectionate with cuddling holding hands etc. we were never a so many times a week couple. Guess working shifts etc made it vary so much. The SPD makes it.......er.....interesting lol. Also get very tired, by the time OH is home I'm often asleep napping. OH is understanding, but doesn't stop him trying his luck lol. Often he does all the work though
Kitten I've only heard the oral route on Michael McIntyre lol. I'm hoping OH won't remember that nearer the time lol.

Dizsie re OH/DH. I was the same.. We've been together nearly six years now, living together for five. I told him when I was first pregnant that baby would have my surname end of! I told him very bluntly he had shown no intention of marrying me so why should baby have his name and I be left out? We have a mortgage, but I told him that is not quite the same as marriage. If we were married or at least engaged I might reconsider. He's now popped the question and is actually talking of setting a date etc. I did also point out that as an unmarried dad, I could go alone and register bubba by myself and give him any name I choose but I always thought I'd be married before having babies. I do get upset a bit that we're not married. OH did also say he though at this stage calling me his girlfriend didn't sound right. I'm 28 and he's 32 so a bit old for gf/bf I think! Our names sound a bit crap together so we might just use my surname as a middle name.

Hope I've not missed anyone out, brain is a bot frazzled. Think too much sleep. Felt really nauseous last few days so slept even more upright last might and felt better this morning. I had slept for 11 hours though. But I got myself downstairs then the jam had mould on, then I dropped the new jar of marmalade as my hands are not working too well today. I was going to attempt a drive to the shops but have changed my mind.

Babies r u -can you reserve stuff to collect instore? Been waiting for an offer and with the 20% off I'm going to get our cotbed this weekend:) so excited! Hope I'm not too tempted to buy extra stuff though.

dizsie, hugs to you. it must be hard. Like Jedi said as long as your relationship is strong, but then i would suggest also chatting to your OH as this is something that is bugging you and means a lot to you. I was the same after being with DH. i needed to know and wanted to get married, and i know you cant force someone, but it will give ou some answers and he can hear you out too. Fingers crossed it all happens for you. xxxx

i wanted to kind of chill out while working from home but my client seems to be keeping me very busy today!! grrr

Had 31 week midwife appoinment this morning (I'm actually 30+5), and GTT results haven't come back (why am I not surprised?!). My iron levels though are 10.9 (11-15 is apparently normal range) so I've been prescribed iron tablets so have to pick those up this afternoon. Anyone got any tips on how to avoid them bunging me up? All other results (urine, BP, heartbeat monitoring of baby, bump measurement of 30cm) are great.

Off to Gunwharf tonight to look at the Next outlet and go to dinner, so looking forward to that.

Just had lunch and feeling shattered, so going for a rest whilst Moon is out cutting lawns as we're due back at the dr around 4pm to collect the iron tablets. Oh, and my soapnuts arrived today whilst we were out so MIL took them in for me - they smell vile to me, but apparently they don't fragrance your washing at all - they've been designated to the garage though as this is where the washing machine is anyway.

No, they don't. Have you got some essential oil to put on the bag you put them in? I have 'citrussy' and 'flowery'
