After reading back about heartburn = hairy babies I reckon I must be baking a boldy as I've had very little heartburn.......so far!

I had horrendous heartburn throughout my pregnancy and my baby doesn't have much hair at all!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

My baby has not been moving as usual in the last 24h, I know the movements change when you are closer to date, but I cannot help but worry! She usually kicks and stretches a lot, to the point where I would see a pointy bone somewhere, or a little bump going out in the other side. She also moves the whole day, but the last 24h she has moved very little, no big kicks, just very soft movements and not that often. Only felt 2 noticeable so far, by this point I would have felt normally between 5+. I am going to have some chocopops with cold milk and see if the sugar rush makes any difference.

oh mrsH, hugs.. if you feel sad, sometimes a good cry helps.. hugs and more hugs. xxx at least you have your doctors appointment sorted and you can give some blood. my gps is a mission too. to make an appointment i have to wait weeks so we get the chance to ring at 8 am and 11 and even then sometimes if you are lucky you get a slot for the evening as the bloody phone is always busy. :(

just tired now still. my mil came and she had brought me a think gown from debenhams. thankfully in a few sizes bigger so can take out the fluffy one and put the thin one on. yay :)

sexymouse, its so weird what people come out with. all midwives tales hey? well yest i was told due to my preg shape, my bum had widened etc i will have a girl and if it was a boy then from behind, one is slim and just has a bump at the front. we shall see. lol.

Yep Marta, have the cocopops and the cold milk, and even better if you have an ice lolly or something too, then lie down on your left hand side (that's the standard advice I think). My baby goes nuts when I sit on the sofa though so if you know what normally gets yours moving try that. Otherwise definitely call the hospital; it's probably just that baby's moved around a bit and is kicking into your placenta or something but they really do want you to call just in case and get you hooked up to the monitor to make sure (it's been drilled into me at every appointment!)

Please call the maternity ward if you are still worried- I went in for monitoring yesterday as movements had slowed right down and ended up being scanned! They usually just put you on a trace for 30 minutes though and are so lovely. Baby is making up for it today though and going crazy.

Hugs MrsH. I am afraid to say that in my experience that is normal, but that doesn't mean you have to put up with it. Could you take a few days off work? I know it is hard, but a couple of days at home will probably make you feel tons better.

Having a rubbish day :o baby partially engaged, but still back to back despite all my efforts to get them to turn. MW wouldn't do a sweep, apparently they only do them in the hospital day unit so I won't get one til 40+13 (a week on Monday), and if it doesn't work I'll be induced the next day. Need to go for another appointment next week, but both the clinics were fully booked, so will have to go to the drop in session at the children's centre and wait in the big queue. Fingers crossed baby makes their own way out before any intervention is necessary.

To top it all off DH has been in a car crash, luckily he's not been hurt badly. Car not in great state, looks like a write off. Some idiot pulled out to overtake 2 cars at once and went head on into DH.

I had the cocopops, then I had a lentil broth and brownies. Baby has moved a bit whilst I was eating. I am going to try now the cold water and fruit juice. I am a bit less worried, since she moved a bit more, but I will definitely call tomorrow if she does not start kicking me tonight! She usually kicks the most when DH comes, I think she hears our voices and she gets all excited, as I am mostly silent the rest of the day. I might put some music on as well. And bounce on my gym ball. Thank you for the suggestions and words of encouragement :)

LittleMoog, oh my... so sorry to hear that! The road is full of irrational people!! How can you start to overtake and not realise there are cars coming your way? So many impatient people on the road... :( Glad DH is ok, make sure you ask your insurance for a courtesy car if available to you, the sooner you get it the better. Are you relying on DH to take you to hospital or is there anyone else with a car that can take you? The most important thing is that he is ok, I would be hysterical if my DH were involved in an accident! *hugs*

MrsHaworth, my only pregnancy symptom has been exhaustion, it was at its worst between 8-20 weeks, I would sleep constantly and yawn all the time. I was working as a teacher and I had to talk for hours... but I found it very very difficult, I felt almost as if I had temperature, when you kind of fall sleep without wanting to and your muscles are quite weak? I feel better between 20-28 weeks, but I think some of the tiredness has came back, I am sleeping again a lot and only fancy being on the sofa! Some people say that babies get some of the behaviours from their pregnant mums, I hope so, because throughout this pregnancy I have been doing nothing else but sleeping, eating, resting and chilling out... so hopefully this baby will be doing just that!! Lol
