Severe itching, especially itchy palms, can be a sign of a rare liver condition called obstetric cholestasis - if it's really bad can you get checked out by mw/gp today?

Afm, nothing overnight, DH was very disappointed as he's got a boring meeting this morning which he was hoping to avoid! :rotfl: off to the MW in a bit so better get up and find some breakfast.

missbunbury - you can get them made, I know someone else on here had one made off an online store. I got mine for my baby-bay (D-shaped cosleeper cot) made from here (who are local to me although I did get them to deliver - they also made my cot mattress) - http://www.dojoeco.co.uk/product/natural-cot-mattress

Morning ladies, how are you all?

Cold today isnt it? i had to get up and turn the heating on at 6 am. brr. sitting working from home. got a bit peeved off with dh, as he was out and he was so noisy. so am tired.

dont want to work but hey 9 more days to maternity leave.

hope the itching goes away moneypenny. it must be irritating. my belly drove me mad yesterday.

i need some tea. had some cheerios and they have left a yucky taste in my mouth. good luck with the mw littlemoog. and boldies, good luck. xx

I am sooo tired had a week off work and for the last three days that I have been back I can't keep my eyes open. Last night I was in bed for 9pm after walking round asda like a zombie.

Is this normal? I've read tiredness is a sign of low iron? I haven't got a midwife appointment for another 2 weeks and I'm struggling to function day to day

hi mrshaworth, maybe go and see the gp before u see the mw so if you need to give any blood samples for iron, it can be tested. i am also very tired and they checked my results and said m iron was fine. just me and lack of sleep for me. i just want to be in bed all the time and when at work, i really so struggle as well. same boat as you.

Welcome newbies, good to see some familiar faces from the 12-24 thread.

Mrshawarth2b - I have phases of being so tired that I am unable to function. Have mentioned it to the midwife on more than one occasion and she just kept saying its normal and she won't do my bloods again until my 28 week appointment. I'm still taking pregnacare to try and boost my system as they contain iron as I do not want the yakky tablets they give you.

After reading back about heartburn = hairy babies I reckon I must be baking a boldy as I've had very little heartburn.......so far!

Felt so rubbish yesterday, quite a lot of pelvic pain, cracking sinus headache but managed to get a bit of sleep last night with the aid of my new painkillers and have woken up feeling better. Didn't venture out of the house at all yesterday so going to make an effort to get out today.

you mentioed pregna care and that is what i take too. got all the vits and iron too so when i told doc i take that he said it was fine. just dont get it why i am sooo tired. well kind of do as lack of sleep but still. keep getting up to wee too and its worse now. went for dinner with my friend, and i got up 3 times. then also keep emptying bowels regularly now.. only 34 weeks + 4 ..

Just rang the doctors to be told they are triple booked up and is it a emergency? I normally say no and ring another day but today I said yes. She then said it will have to wait until tomorrow. To which I put the phone down.. too emtional to not cry over this lol.

Anyway she's rung back and offered me a 6:15 appointment tonight. My bloods havent been taken since I first went to the midwife...when I was 6 weeks! When I went to my scan at 12 weeks the hospital labelled my bloods wrong and the midwife said they would prob need more next time. But I've been feeling like this since Sunday now and with 8 weeks left at work, something needs to give.

Sorry for the rant but feeling very sad today
