Hi ladies!
Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend!
All this talk of weight got me curious to see how much I've gained since weighing myself about 2 months ago. According to our scales I've only put on 10lbs since my first midwife appointment (at 6 weeks, now 26+4 weeks) sent me into a blind panic, phoned my mum and midwife and they seem to think it's ok but I'm a bit worried now that she's not growing properlygot another scan in 1 week so will ask then. Think I'll have to bulk out my portions a bit! Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't put on as much as they think they should!
Changing bag wise, I got a 2nd hand on ebay by Pink Lining. It's grey with yellow butterflies and flowers on it. Probably not to everyone's taste but I like itgoing to get the free Boots one for hubby as it's a bit more 'manly' :rotfl:

b_girl, I wouldn't worry - they don't weigh pregnant women anymore for a reason! Everyone is just so different, I think some people put on a lot of weight while others just really put on the baby. It also is supposed to depend how much you weigh before you get pregnant, if you're fairly overweight to begin with, you can actually lose weight while pregnant without much problem. I'm pretty petite to start with so the 'usual' gain for my weight would be 12-15kg apparently, although everyone who sees me says I'm 'all bump' I know I'm not (my thighs!! my thighs!!)0

Thanks for the reply! I was on the larger side before pregnancy (size 16-18) so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and scans have come out fine. Just was a bit shocked as I feel huge!

b_girl - I wouldn't worry. I lost over half a stone from the time I took the test at 5 weeks to just before my 12 week appointment. I've put on 1st 6lb (from my normal weight) and I'm 34 weeks tomorrow.0

I was a 16-18 before pregnancy, BMI about 31, and mw told me.to keep an eye on my weight gain and aim for 1-1.5 stones in total. I lost quite a bit from morning sickness, which I've since put back on, and about another half a stone. The heavier you are the less you're likely to put on, especially if you're eating sensibly etcI'm expecting to drop down a dress size after I give birth as all my maternity clothes are now huge

I had my first reflexology session today and it was fab. Very relaxing and really loosened up my back. Obviously I don't know if it has helped with the labour preparation yet, but I'm going back in two weeks for another session.
I have been a wuss and not weighed myself since 20 weeks. I don't think I've put too much on except bump though, so hopefully won't be too much to lose.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
b_girl I wouldn't worry hun I gained 8lb during pregnancy and gave birth to a 9lb baby boy xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Morning all,
Been quiet on here the last couple of days-hope its got nothing to do with me posting again?!!!!
Had a brilliant sleep last night, have been sleeping with a pillow between my knees and then staying on my side but slightly tilted to my front if that makes any sense... And only 1 wee break!
I'm going to a friends for lunch today, the kitchen refurb is going well but 2 days with no cooker and today we are loosing the sink and taps!
The friend who is doing me lunch is getting married next year on 22 march and I'm a bridesmaid! I'm not due til 22 jan so not quite sure how big or small I'm going to be for the dress. Today we are having dress fittings... But I'm huge so god knows how I'm going to get it on!!
Hope everyone has a good day...

Morning all
Have been feeling grotty since I got home from shopping yesterday, I thought I wad just tired, but I feel rubbish today as wellachy all over, and like the back end of a bus! The joys of late pregnancy (and hopefully not the start of the cold that DH has just finished with
) my hands are stiff and sore in the mornings recently, and have been much worse the last few days which makes knitting difficult!
Luckily no plans for today, just a bit of housework and tidying to do at some point this weekend. We're off for Sunday lunch with my family tomorrow, and DH said he'd treat us to a curry later, will be nice not to have to cook though I suspect he's trying to hurry the baby along as he has tomorrow in his office's sweepstake! It's our original due date, but they moved us by 2 days after the first scan.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Nothing to do with you Elizabeth, I promise!
Moog - sorry to hear you aren't feeling very well. Maybe the OH is hoping the curry will help sweat out the cold? But as you said, it's probably a plan to flush something else out :P
Thank you GISI for your very kind words about my outfit last nightI really enjo6ed myself too. Didn't make it out until 11! OH spent an hour doing his hair (don't ask). Got home around 4
only now woken up. OH got another talking to from his boss about bringing out his heavily pregnant gf... and got told that next Friday he is to plonk me down in front of the tv and run around making me food and stuff lol! One of the bouncers chirped up that I'm banned until after I've had the baby cause I'm not allowed to give birth on the floor of the club!
All the staff are excited to hear some baby news. He only does one shift a week but has been there for 5 years or so. Everyone seems to really love him. Have to explain to everyone that it's not him dragging me out lol. I may be pregnant but I am not an invalid!
Best get out of bed. Rugby will be starting soon0
