    Hi everyone,

    32 weeks here :).

Thank you ladies for all your advice about vit K. My 34 weeks MW appointed is less than 2 weeks away and she might mention something about it then.

Bank holiday not sure how posted that (I'm on my tablet and is complicated to look back) but I don't understand much....so are we or not entitled to have the extra days added to our holiday quota? Sorry for being thick but don't understand.

Second hand stuff I bought lots of new stuff but we equally received lots of stuff.I don't feel bad as saved us a lot of money.

Nursery/feeding pillow I haven't bought one just yet but I'll need to start looking at that. What should I look for? Have you seen and good deals recently?

*waves arms* it was me Aida (Bamama :P). It's basically saying that what ever your usual contract says... be it the minimum 28 days or the 28+w/e your company gives you... you will still earn them all during maternity.
Don't look at them as "bank holidays". If you are off on ML/sick leave on a day that the company decided was a day off... then you'd get that day back to use at another time :)

I think if you're comfy and getting some sleep I wouldn't worry too much about position. When I lie on my back it's uncomfortable, so I wake up and move, if you don't, it's probably fine. I read online today that the left side guidance is actually only crucial for people with high blood pressure, and for everyone else it may be "best" to sleep on your left, but not much better than the right.
I don't think your baby will be uncomfy no matter which way you sleep, but they'll probably let you know if they are. Sometimes when I turn onto my side I get a flurry of kicks where the pillow is tucked under my bump, which I assume is baby objecting to the side of their home being pushed in!

Rups, I doubt baby is uncomfortable. So long as you are I suppose it doesn't matter. Baby will always wriggle about anyway. Squirmy has learnt when Daddy is going to work/getting up on the weekend. I won't move but OH gives me a kiss and Squirmy does a lil flutter.

I have a memory foam pillow, one of those £9 ones. When I lay in bed to watch.tv, I put it under my legs to keep them up, then when I sleep I put it between my knees whist I lay on my left side. I do wake up sometimes on my back

My contract ended 15 weeks before EDD (25 weeks pregnant) and I haven't worked since, I am glad because at 30 weeks my brain and body stopped functioning properly. If I were at work,I would have tried to stop around the 32 week. I have found it difficult to move, I am very tired, any walk over an hour means hip pain and I cannot concentrate whatsoever. I had to do stuff for uni during weeks 30 to 33 and it has taken me three times longer than usual plus I an not happy with the result anyway, my brain is in Babyland and does not want to do anything else!! It depends how much you could afford, but if I can do it next pregnancy, I will stop by the 32 week. It also means a much more relaxed pregnancy, more time to get ready, do antenatal and just enjoy being a bit lazy before the crazy schedule arrives. The hv told me it was best to leave early if possible because it will help me adapt to changes, she said postnatal depression is most common on women who work until the end and suddenly find themselves at home doing all baby stuff with not much external support, because they feel they are giving up their professional identity. Not sure how true that is, but I wanted a transition between work/uni and motherhood, this break is helping me to rest and have me-time before I start mummy-time. I guess it won't work once I have another baby! Maybe at that time my work time will be me-time!! Lol

marta that was me ages ago. i cant work and dont want to and cant concentrate. lol. thanks for the advise regarding positions everyone. :0)

bamama that is so cute then you get a flutter from little one when OH kisses you. before my little one used to respond to DH's voice when he would come back form kung fu or something, but recently with listening to DH shout at me, i think he/she is annoyed at daddy and wont move when he places his hand on my belly. think it re-started yesterday responding a bit. bless the little one. awwhhh

Silly thing is... Squirmy won't squirm at my hands. Never has. But ever since the first time it give Daddy a huge boot (the biggest I'd ever felt!) it's always given a little flutter :) it's nice, but annoying as OH doesn't usually feel them and I swear he thinks Im' making it up lol.
