Morning,

Thanks for the dressing gown advice ladies. I will buy a dark lightweight dressing gown for the hospital then.

Elisabeth a new kitchen??? We had one installed a year ago and it took a month to be fitted by my hubby and his father. I wasn't too impress about the "speed"of their work but in the end they've managed to finish it off. Good luck.

scottishchick No sign of your baby yet? Lots and lots of labor vibes to all our boldies.

martafdz I need to pack my hospital bag as well but it still feels like it's too early.

Bamama When I've joined this thread I was in the 80's group. Now we have 66 ladies on the list and perhaps that's why is so quiet. Also some of the chatty ones had their babies and move onto other threads as Ikkle said.

Ikke nice to see you posting here from time to time. How are things now? Are you feeling better?

Morning Aida,
I've given them 1 month to complete it... I know it's crazy but I really want it done before the baby otherwise I know it will never get done! I got pregnant last year (may) and me and DH decided then we wanted a new kitchen before the baby arrived. Unfortunately I had a mc and it became less urgent to do the kitchen... Until this pregnancy! The trouble is me and DH are just too laid back.. Neither of us have a real sense of urgency about things!

I also need to do my hospital bag, I've not even got a changing bag yet! I really like the babymoov ones, but too scared to buy incase there is a better one out there!

I'm off to the dr later today. Having my flu jab and my whooping cough jab, then got my 28 week midwife apt after. Will the midwife measure my bump today? I feel huge and everyone keeps telling me how big I am. I'm trying not to let it bother me because at the end of the day having a healthy baby is the most important thing, but deep down it does bother me slightly.... Probably because I know I'm eating more than I should and having too many 'treats'... I just can't seem to get enough will power to stop at the moment- does that make sense?! I know after the birth I'll be kicking myself that I have pigged out so much!!

Anyway enough waffle from me... Hope everyone had a good sleep

Morning all

No sign of this baby turning the right way round, but my floors are spotless:o:rotfl: been trying some of the positions on spinningbabies.com to get this bean to shift, but nothing so far.

Off to bumps and babes in a bit, and then I've got my aunt (surrogate mum!) coming over for the afternoon, we're going to head over to Milton Keynes to do some shopping, I've got a picture for baby's room to collect from the framers and some baby clothes bought by MIL to exchange for a bigger size as she's bought us so much newborn sized stuff

Marta, what a lovely neat bump you have! so cute.. i look so massive. feel like an elephant now lol. too scared to post a picture here. it wont fit! hahahahahaha..

anyway, i stupidly bought a fluffy gown but i know i will regret it as it is always hot in hospitals. i couldnt find a think one and if i do i will grab it. i got some arnica tabs the other day and also nappy sacks to pack in baby bag. i keep finding more stuff to take with me. arghhhh.. my mum told me to pack more nappies than usual just in case. so have packed around 10-12. i keep forgetting earplugs.. we have some somehwere but as soon as i am home i forget,.

A guy at work recommended me this book 'Secrets of the Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg' and also loads of other people. this book is amazing apparently, so have ordered it.

Im terms of the thermometer, which ones do you recommend? we need one for the room don;t we?

And today my countdown starts to leaving work! I have been waiting ages!! 4 more weeks to go! yay!!! Gosh next month, if we are lucky, bubba will be here. eek!!

I don't think a room thermometer is really essential, although we have got a room/bath thermometer because our house is quite cold and DH and I can never agree on the heating etc! There's an Avent one that's quite cheap. I'd say a baby thermometer is an essential - you want to have one before the first time baby gets a temperature!

ahh i see... are those cheap do you know? Thanks littlemoog. got my changing mat delivered yesterday. so cute with giraffes and monkeys on it. still need little bits and bobs like thermometer, nail clippers etc.

Amazon has a Tommee Tippee "baby grooming kit" with thermometer, nail clippers, brush, etc at £10. It also has the Avent bath and bedroom thermometer at £10, that is the one I bought. It is flower shaped and very accurate.

You think it is neat? I think it is massive considering it still has another 6 weeks to go! Lol My cousin sent me a pic of when she was 37 weeks and I am bigger now than she was then! She is very slim though.

erm you should see me.. i look like a huge whale now. even my butt is so big and wide now.. today i am wearing this new ebay dress and it makes me look huge lol.. I have around 7 weeks to d-date too. eek!
