Every birth experience is different, so please everyone do not feel bad if does not go your way. I am a very calm person, i was calm during my labour, i wanted everything natural. It did not worked that way, i was 24 hs in pain, i wasn't coping , inside me i was feeling like i wanted them to cut me open and take the baby out of me but still in my mind i wanted to go as i planned. Part of the problem was that i went in thinking that it was going to be manageable pain, it was not in my case. So be kind to yourself, many women do it every day but if in your case you can not cope anymore, ask for pain relief, no one is going to give you a medal for enduring the pain.

had a crappy night's sleep. i was just struggling. DH was snoring and i was getting annoyed as couldnt find a position to sleep in. then this morning i couldnt get up and start working from home late (10) oops..

marta your post about being calm made so much sense. thanks so much. i am generally a calm person too but when i am faced with something not familiar with, i panic and i lose that calmness within minutes. i will try my best to remember what you have said so i dont lose that calmness. the teacher at the nct class said that that it is vital we stay calm because like you said, being panicky wastes a lot of energy which is why we feel tired quickly and we cant push etc.. think i should start mu yoga as well. its been weird as i thought i thought i would try and be as active as i can but i just havent..

am 30 weeks today. eek!
