  • Breathing exercises Our NCT class didn't really cover these much. I just kind of assumed I'll know what to do at the time, or someone (midwife or OH) will tell me

Jabs I didn't have the flu jab (have never been offered it, and actually its never been mentionned to me), but I would definitely take the two (flu and whooping cough) in one arm, as can't think of much worse than not being able to sleep on either side. I'm had my jab on Tues, its now Friday and my arm is starting to feel better but is still very sore. It has a big lump on it, is swollen and red and itchy and feels hot all the time still.

Update from me Now 8 days overdue! Still booked in for Monday induction. Have to call at 830am to find out if they have a bed for me, and I know I'm going to be gutted if they say they don't. I know induction isn't for everyone but I actually feel quite calm about it at the minute, and relaxed now I know there is an end in sight. I am a very organised person and like the fact I get to be a little more in control of things, so am desperately hoping NOT to go into labour tomorrow or Sunday. The only negative is that OH's nan flies back home (to the Canary Islands) on Monday. She'd been over her for 10 days thinking she'd get to see her newest great grandson but time has just gone against us and I've not managed to have him in time. So now she'll see him in April next year. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice to have had them meet sooner, as she is getting well into her eighties now

OH and I had tickets for Michael McIntyre tonight, but being 8 days overdue I've handed mine over to one of his friends instead. Bit gutted but at least they aren't going to be wasted. We did book them almost 18 months! I'll have to buy the dvd instead!

    Hey everyone.

Met my new care co-ordinator today (it's a mental health thing) and she seems nice, although she only works two days a week and is "bank staff" so doesn't have a contract. Hoping that she doesn't leave and then I have to get used to yet another new person!
She was full of a cold though but sat across the room from me because she didn't want to give it to me. It's hard enough having a cold when you have M.E, but imagine having a cold, M.E and being pregnant too and I can imagine just having a cold when having a normal pregnancy with no other problems can be hard going also!

Got a splitting headache all across my head and at the base of my skull though. :(

    Hi hun

When I was pregnant last year I got the flu jab, I could feel the start of the cold coming on, then it went away, like you I couldn't get ill either...
I was glad I got it done..

How long do you have left now ??
I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...

We haven't got any names either, we are kind of hoping we'll just look at the baby and *know* what its name is!

    Yay morocha!!! :)
Twinkle, maybe write down a shortlist so at least you feel like you have narrowed it down? And maybe take it with you, so when you see your baby you can have a look to the list and decide the name?
Tomorrow I am 32 weeks, I am starting to panic, the thing is I am worrying about the change in lifestyle and how it will affect our relationship, I am not worrying about the birth or anything like that, but about my husband looking at me like "mother of my kuds" instead of "friend, lover and wife", please tell me I am being plain silly and it is just hormonal worries. I do feel stupid, everybody here worries about labour and things going well and I am worrying about losing "couple time" :(

    Hi everyone,

Week 29 for me and I'm very happy. Less then 11 to go :j.

Jabs: I had my flu jab 2 weeks ago and I'm booked for the whooping cough jab next week on Tuesday. My arm was a little bit sore after the flu jab but not too painful.

Midwives: I had my 28 weeks appointment last week and everything was OK. I had my blood results back and I've been told that they are all alright but last night when I was checking my notes, at the end of the book where you get all the things attached, I saw that 2 results were highlighed: Haematocrit 0.336 (0.36 - 0.46) LOW and Red blood cell (RBC) count 3.34 10*12/L (4.00 -5.20) LOW. Are these the iron levels? I know they are not really really low but at least she could've say something. I don't eat meat too often but if I know there is a problem, I can start eating more red meat, spinach, etc. I'm really crossed with her now:mad:.

Pelvic pain I've started having some pelvic pain and usually I get it in the afternoon (later in the day) or when I try to dress and stay on one leg. It's not too bad but not sure if I should mention anything to my GP (I'll see her in 2 weeks)
    :smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:j
