lol i love bananas and now i want a milk shake. i hate work so much.. bit random sorry lol. aghh so many people obsess about weight. my SIL was terrible. she wouldnt eat the proper food and would constantly worry about weight and she was so tiny and the baby was tiny so she was sent for scans all the time as they were worried.

the main reason for really going to the nct classes is to meet some nice people as i dont want to be all alone in croydon. would be nice to socialise with mum-to-be as well and attend those coffee/cake sessions they have lol. anything for food! lol

thanks moneypenny. i agree that with the added bonus of meeting people, we will def learn more as i am clueless at the mo. need to get a silly colly from somewhere though for the BF classes. Hope its not today.. doubt it.. better look for that email and sort my directions out. lol

Hello people. 24+1 for me today! Getting there. Beginning to have a massive bump - I'm going to be HUGE by the end.

Had the weirdest dream ever last night; baby popped out early fully formed as he was "bored", did a little dance and then proceeded to climb back in - according to my friend in my dream it was easy for the baby to climb back in as he'd made such a huge passage getting out!! How weird am I?!

i keep dreaming about being on holiday at different places. the other day was sad, becaude i dreamt my hubby left me.:( stupid brain dreaming all sorts.

hmm lunch time at work.. what to eat, what to eat? lol

zcrat, I thought I was gonna keep ballooning. Don't worry if you hit a plateau though. I've not really gotta any bigger in the last 8 weeks.

And I'm with you on the weird dreams! Though mine have mostly been kinky ones about random friends/aquaintances. I know I'm gonna blush when I see them next and they'll want to know why. Squirmy will take the fall though XD "it's the baby, it's weird" LOL!

Because my boss won't put me forward to the panel while I'm not here She's promised to get it started as soon as I'm back from ML though. I seem to have caused a bit of controversy, as I asked about this other girl getting promoted so quickly when she's got no responsibility etc, and my boss (who sits on the evaluation panel) said that they hadn't reviewed her job, so she was really cross - they have a panel meeting next week, but it's been announced to her team already that she's been promoted, and so it looks like they've sidestepped the panel. She's going to investigate and find out what's happened.

I may be the only person who wants to keep the weight on. My midwife was telling me how breastfeeding can help you lose all that baby weight. She looked at me weird when I started frowning.

I'm not taking any classes. I think they'd only prove to scare me. Though I'll probably wish I had taken some when I've got to deal with labour.

If you're worried about losing weight from breastfeeding, make sure to eat at least 500 calories extra per day - apparently that's how much exclusive BF uses up. We did the NCT classes, and it was really helpful to understand the process etc, and we learnt different ways of dealing with pain to try and avoid interventions. I'm really glad we did them, plus it's been nice to meet others in the same situation as us

Last year my husband was being really weird for a few days, and when I confronted him about it he said that I framed him for murder in a dream, and he was really cross about it! :rotfl:

hey zcrat! Weird dreams are part of the territory. Although i think i'm that tired now that I wake up in the morning before I've even realised that I'm asleep! That sounds daft but I know what I mean! And all of a sudden in the last week my bump has grown to massive proportions. A bit traumatised that baby is going to be as big (or bigger eek!) as DS was!

Rups - to eat? anything you want really. I am eating all sorts of bad stuff. Have been naughty and had chocolate. Baby is currently walloping my bladder as a consequence!

LittleMoog - I think Bamama may be right. There are promotion boards on while I am on maternity leave and I think so long as I am happy to be contacted by work with the details then there is no reason why i'm not eligible for them.

LittleMoog - sorry - was typing as you posted. That's a shame she won't put you forward now. No harm in asking questions. It's not like you are the one creating the controversy - the person who announced it to the other team is the one who created the problem - not you!

Wife is now 29 weeks and was last week tested for diabetes. The first test she measured 4.8(3.5 -5.9 guidelines) however the glucose test measured 10.0 (>7.8) This resulted in gestational diabetes. Now in terms of eating she is very good and sweets/sugary drinks aren't taken. After going through her daily meals with the dietician she thinks it may be to do with the homemade milkshake (400ml of s/skimmed and 1 banana) and two weetabix with small amount of milk that she has each morning.
Has anyone else been tested and if so what were your readings and what did you do to reduce the levels for the remaining pregnancy.
BTW: 29 weeks and babies weight is 3.8lbs according to scan.

not many choices around grotty kings cross. eww.. it smells of pee everwhere. sorry. i went and got a smoked salmon sandwich with salt and vinegar crisps and a lucozade can. i wasnt even that hungry! lol. still eating. got to leave at 3 so making sure i dont starve on the way.

i am def biggger now and people are saying so too. :0) ah bless your dh littlemoog. lol. i end up being upset with mine when i dream about him and they have been bad lol. how silly of me.

bit upset with dh now actually as when we had our scan, i wanted to find out the sex of the baby and i compromised and said i wont find out, if i have as much input as him in the name. i want an anglo indian name and he just doesnt consider that and sends me fully english/scottish names. is that unfair of me to ask him that? its my baby too?
