Although just checked the size and the cot i am buying takes a 120x60 mattress and checked in Boots and the same brand is £36.40 for the same brand and the measurements i need, so i will add a few nappies and stuff for my hospital bag to make it £50.

Out of curiosity, does anybody cot takes a 120x60 mattress? i am starting to think this cot may be tiny and would be cheaper in the long run to get a 1 that takes a 140x70 matress, i mean it will last longer and baby will be there till 18 months at least.

    Morocha that's a standard cot size hun. 140 x 70 is a cotbed size.

  • morocha ours is 120x60 and my daughter is not yet two but bigger than a lot of 3 year olds! :rotfl: she's only just moved out due to climbing out rather than lack of space. Also as ours is a cot rather than a cot bed we were suggested to get a foam mattress as they're not heavy enough to benefit from some of the other types and aren't in it as long as a cot bed.

    Congrats candycane :j

Sorry Hun I should have explained. A normal cot should do to 18 months. A cot bed to around 3-4 years. Xx

I love our mattress though, he seems so much comfier on that than he ever was in his foam one x

Thanks for that Gilly :D - a good price especially if get all the extra points too plus discount - hopefully that Boots extra points will be online soon too!

Another sort of related question, can you put waterproof sheets on a moses basket and cotbed? I think that this has been discussed before but I wasn't focused on it at the time really. Will that mean that the mattress is no longer breathable or have the necessary requirements for being safe for babies?

If your store is doing the offer you can order anything from online instore and still get the offer. I'm going to order a carseat tomorrow :)

hi ladies.. lots of interesting chat going on.:)

i logged off at 5 as had to rush back home and go food shopping with dh.. i am so tired. my feet hurt today. two days working from home, and today back at work i am tired lol...

sorry about the rant earlier. was getting fed up. think i will have to say somehting rude back as me being friendly about it doesnt help..

Congrats candycane. hope you are enjoying mummy cuddles. xxx

babymonster thanks for that...little things annoying me...marta or was it morocha? (gosh my baby brain sorry), thanks for the suggesiton about the doing something something little for money. i have to sit and think about it as need to sort myself out. :)

tonight i found my PJs no longer fit and somehow i have misplaced my ugly joggers. ohhh i need new pjs so off to primark again. lol.

also spoke to my mum earlier and she annoyed the hell out of me.. this cousin of mine has started contact with me. she had eloped with her english bf then and got married so her family were upset etc. now she has a daughter and lives in kent and she kept bugging me that she wants to make effort. i kind of asked her a few things about buggies etc and apparently she told her mum (who is my mums sister) that i bug her with texts and stuff and i keep asking her about buggies. that is true about the buggy, but i dont bug her. i was upset. then my mum said why am i asking people about buggies, when i can ask them? she had a go at me, and the point of me ringing her was to just ask how she is doing and whether i should go see her on saturday.. i cant be bothered nw.. :(
