We too have the Tippitoes Mini Bath. Our LO absolutely loves his bath time - he screams when we take him out!

Maternity pads - I had Boots and Tesco. They look and feel identical but I found Tesco's to be more absorbent. I think I went through 5 or 6 packs in total.

I really like that little tippitoe bath!! It looks like it will be very easy to wash the baby in there.

Thanks for the advice, I am updating my list with all the brands and tips you say. I have started to read the whole newborn thread as well and copying and pasting posts with advice on BF and dealing with diverse issues, lol. I will end up with pages and pages of tips! I am bidding on a hypnobirth book + cd, I am looking forward to read it. I need to do my kegels, today I really felt like I could not hold!

Just wanted to say Good Luck to the 7 seven lucky ladies who are due to deliver in the first week of October! I cannot believe that I am at No 49 already - another four places up the chart and I will be at the age I will be when I hv bubba-eek !
Good luck Moneypuddle and treat yourself to that taxi...you don't know how quick your labour will be!
I like what Ikkle said about not buying some items until after the baby arrives. All of mine went straight into a cot, as they used to cry at the feel/sound of being placed into the basket. I had a lovely antique Moses basket lent to me too. Isnt it funny how quickly babies let you know their likes and dislikes!
My pelvic and hip pain is worse than ever - might try and get a referral to the obstetric physio soon. Mind you, I was on crutches at this stage of my last pregnancy, so I should be grateful for small mercies etc etc.
As this is a Moneysaving site, could you tell me how you are budgeting to take time off work with the baby? I am hoping to take the full year off, but my Baby Fund keeps having money taken out of it for music lessons for the other kids, Property Tax on the house and Car Insurance...I have so far saved the grand total of CAD$0.00 for this little one-help!

morning ladies, just a quick post to say that Elijah Ruairi arrived on friday at 18.59, weighing 9lb 1oz, after an hour of active labour. flipping knackered i am!

Big congrats Mummyof2(3!) Sounds like a very fast labour!

Went to the MK baby expo yesterday to look at.carriers and.ended.up buying a Connecta, we both really liked it and it was so comfy to wear. We already have a Moby style wrap that a friend has lent us, but DH wasn't keen. I think the Connecta will last longer anyway.

Had friends over for dinner and poker last night, one last big night at ours before baby comes, so just waiting for everyone to get up for breakfast. DH's best friend told us that his wife is 8 weeks pg :j so excited! We're the first to have a baby in the group, so nice to know they're only 6 months behind us!

Off home for.family lunch today, looking forward to seeing all my nieces and nephew!

Cake - I haven't got the nipple cream yet but it's one of the few things left for me together with the breast pads so I'd thought I'd check on their website. I'm hoping to stop by today so I'll see if there's anything else worthwhile.
Moneypuddle - I'm glad you were feeling a bit better yesterday:) I know what you mean about being bored though. Sometimes having uni work to do is a bless!

7 babies due next week??? So if they all come when due and all the current boldies give birth by the end of next week, I'll be...2 on the list??:eek: at one point many moons ago I was wishing I'd queue jump but I think I'd prefer to stay put for now. Baby has been head down for weeks now but not engaged so I'm hopeful lol. Yes, yes, I know, it'll have to come out at some point. Let me get the moses basket set up first though:o

I don't really have the energy either! Mid-afternoon naps are the way forward! I went to DH's stepmum's hen do on Friday as well so it's been pretty hectic. Lots of quiet weekends coming up after the wedding in 2 weeks though
