  • Evening all,

I've not been on for a while, but have been lurking and reading.
Congtrats to sexymouse and MMM! hope everything went ok for KatyLiz and Mummyoftwo today (i hope i have remembered names right!).

I've just spent 3 hours looking at differet sites for travel systems, nursery furniture and other baby essentials -its a mine field! I really like the Quinny Buzz 3 travel system - have found it for £499 (all included) which i think is good...has anyone bought their system/pram already?
I'm also struggling with how much nursery furniture can cost...what set did yo get in the end rups?

I've felt so many movements now its lovely..makes me smile - even at 2 in the morning (although i know after a while this novelty will probably wear off!).

Been to the GP today. Got sent home from work on Tuesday because i almost passed out. Keepgetting really dizzy and feeling really faint lately. Turns out everything seems fine and they have no idea what is causing it...urine clear, BP fine (sat down and stood up). Got blood test booked for monday so we'll see if thats gives me any answers.

Hope everyone else is well...labour vibes to those who want and need them

    Me x (23+3)

    hi elisabeth,

hope you have been well. sorry to hear about you feeling faint. i hope the tests can tell you why? you said ur bp was ok?

i checked out those sets from mothercare and in the end my mum got us the taunton one which was on offer so from around 1000, it was cut down to 550. so we got the wardrobe, changing unit (which also has drawers) and a cot bed. this one: http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Taunton-Nursery-Collection/psU3548,default,pd.html?cm_sp=ProductFeatures-_-Category%2520landing-_-Mothercare%2520Taunton%25203-piece%2520Nursery%2520furniture%2520set

  • Thanks Rups.....i like that set!

    I've seen this one:
    http://www.bambinodirect.co.uk/Tutti_Bambini_Barcelona_7_Piece_Room_Set__-_White_095RS3-1510/version.asp

My BP was good 102/72 which she said was quite low, but nothing to worry about. I just want to feel normal again, although i have a feeling it will be a while before i feel that again!

I found the newborn thread :D

That is what I keep reading, Gillix, that it is worth the money. I guess that if it can be sold for over £50 later on, it does not sound that expensive! Did you also use the calma teats? Are they really that good for preventing colic?

Elisabeth, could it be that arthery (sp?) that is in the back? I cannot remember what it is called, we are not supposed to sleep on our backs after certain week because it cuts the blood supply and etc, could you be putting pressure on it at work because of posture, chair or something like that?

I do fail on the whole not sleeping on back thing, I always wake up in that posture, even though I force myself to be on the right side!

i am the same. i find myself on my back. sleeping on the side is hard as i get so uncomfy and i dont know what is comfy anymore? :( i have been sitting for hours now on here. lol. my back is sore. watching a program on the channel really called desperate midwives. seeing a woman give birth naturally made my eyes tear up. eek.

  • Marta, Thats a good point about the artery because i know i have terrible posture at work...although i get dizzy and feel faint sometimes just walking up the stairs! I was like this before the pregnancy a little as well..but always just put it down to low blood pressure, its only now i have someone else to worry about that it is bothering me more.
