Best wishes for babies arriving today katyliz and mummyof2. I will be far too far up the list then, but as I am due tomorrow I don't know why I am surprised.
Thought things may be kicking off at 6am but wishful thinking I reckon now. Its a nice day so gutted I can't walk due to hip pain, might start another knitting project instead.
Oh and massive congratulations sexymouse0 -
Marta - I'm glad you managed to get your parents to come later :j Sorry I can't help with a carrier, I've been given a beautiful beginnings one by a friend who chose it because its got good reviews but I haven't tried it yet. Sorry I can't help with the names either as we haven't chose them yet!
Mummyof Two - good luck for today!
I'm 37 wks today:beer:
KatyLiz mentioned something about whether I'd agree to an induction. To be honest, I haven't considered not having one if baby was quite late. Does anyone know what the disadvantages and alternatives are by any chance?
I've not got much planned for the day as we have workmen doing work on our heating so I'll have to stay put until they're done. I'll probably join the housework club with you LittleMoog!:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
Lots of luck Mummy of 2 and Katyliz :j. Cant wait to hear your birth stories
Not a lot happening here. Trying to get babies hospital bag sorted, only thing is the bag is far too small! Think Im going to pack the going-home outfits and extra sleepsuits, nappies etc in another bag that DH can bring when we need them. All the lists say 4 sleepsuits each so will pack 8, but as its an average 4day stay in hospital for twins I'll pack another 8 in the other bag in case we need them. Also found the micro nappies in Sburys (thanks SM). Managed to get them for 31p with my £2 off pampers voucher. They had lansinoh nipple cream for £6.65 in the baby event so grabbed that with both hands! Cheapest I have seen so far is around £10:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

Hello everyone.
I've been reading your thread for a few weeks now and have decided to say "hello!" ... as I was starting to feel like a stalker!
Congratulations to all the ladies who have had their babies and good luck to those due in the next few days.
I am 18 weeks pregnant with my third child. I've had a big gap (my children will be 7 and 8 when baby arrives) and I am as nervous as a first time mum .. but with all the knowledge of the scary bits!
I'm trying my best to enjoy this pregnancy, as it will be my last (and was rather unexpected!) but I have had severe all day sickness and am feeling far from blooming.
I had a tricky first birth ... 3 days back to back labour, failure to progress, emergency traumatic section. My second c-section was planned. The consultant decided at 36 weeks my 9lb baby was not going to come out if my 8lb first got stuck in my small pelvis. I am having a planned third section in February 2013 (due date is 28th February) The date will be decided nearer the time, but I am so nervous already!
I'm sorry if I don't contribute as much as I would like, but I will try to read and keep up to date on your news. I am busy all day at work and then attempting to be a good mum to my other children after work and then usually asleep by 9pm!
Good luck with all your pregnancies and I hope to join in as much as I can!
Jane x

Welcome to the thread JT100! I can understand why you're feeling nervous even though this is not your first one! I know what you mean about not glooming... I'm not sure I've ever felt this tired in my life with rubbish hair, nails, skin and hormonal! Where is this glooming in pregnancy?? Anyway, don't worry if you're not able to post often but please feel free to whenever you feel like it/can/ need any help and support.
(I'll add you to the list above now).:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
wishing mummy of 2 and katyliz all the best for today!

Good Luck today Katyliz and Mummyof2 !
The article on Sky News about the whooping Cough vaccine did refer to Wales, but no mention of Northern Ireland. Does anybody know anything about it?

Thank bikelesschick for the list!
Good luck to MummyOfTwo and KatyLiz!!
What is that Whooping Cough Booster and who gets that, me now or the baby when born?
KatyLiz, we have decided to go with that one because we both plan to use the carrier a lot, and we do not want to get back pain. The Stokke carrier is expensive but apparently it is very comfy to wear and it can be used until the 3 years of age (or 55lbs). I also limited the options a lot by having the requirement of allowing the "frog position", which is what it is recommended in the Hip Dysplaxia Institute. That said, the brands that have a different support claim that is all unfounded rumours and that they carriers do not harm, the brands that have that kind of support keep making reference to that research... maybe it is right, maybe it is not, but in doubt and considering I plan to use it a lot at home aswell, I rather spend a bit more, I guess if I were only to use it occasionally, I would not care that much . Also, most of the carriers that have crotch support cannot be used for too long because cause back pain according to customer reviews, so I will see this as an investment long term! If you are planning to do lots of hill walking, you also have specific carriers for that, more like a back pack, have a look at LittleTrekkers website or do a search for back pack carriers, framed carriers or trekking carriers. I did not find many reviews of the Stokke carrier yet, but I think that is because it is a very new product, it has been on the market only a few months. I did find these: here , here and here. I trust customer reviews better than site reviews, you never know whether the brand has paid to get the item reviewed! Even though we will be getting it as a gift, I will wait for an offer, although I have £15 off £150 for Mothercare online, so I guess I could always buy something else and get that discount!
My cold seems to be leaving me now, thanks god for that! I was fed up with so many tissues!! And I actually feel like doing some tiding up round the house!! I have been extremely lazy for weeks, so this is a change my DH will appreciate, lol.
Thanks, it has been a relief my parents came to their senses. I was panicking!
I have decided to buy the hypnobirth cd and book, it is not expensive and if it makes any difference, even if little, it will be money well spent. Visualization works for me usually, so I am hoping this has a considerable effect on my worries and I manage to go more relaxed and feel more in control when in labour.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*
