Congrats to SM and MMM!
I live about 7 minutes normal walk from our hospital, and had considered that I might walk there - until I mentioned it to my mum and she more or less laughed in my faceMy dad has offered that I can ring any time of day or night and he'll drive me there, but I think maybe we'll just get a taxi. Just feel a bit like I'm not sure I want to be dragging him out of bed or whatever? I don't know, maybe we'll just decide what seems best at the time.
Went out for tea with my friend last night. Got back around 9.30 and felt a bit queasy and bit of upset tummy, but didn't last long. Just presumed I'd eaten too much. Had fallen asleep on sofa and woke up about 2.15, felt really sick and really upset tummy. I don't know what came over me but I felt absolutely awful...felt so sick and shaky and for some reason it made me really scared and I thought I was going to cryThought I was ok this morning, although very tired, and now my tummy feels all dodgy again

Thanks Rups, I don't know what's causing it, but I doubt there's any point going to the docs. Was scared that maybe it was the onset of labour, but seeing as it stopped and I've had no cramps or anything, I'm guessing it's not that.
Ooh, that's exciting about your baby furniture. I still need to sort our cot out. Maybe I'll try to get it done today seeing as (touch wood) it doesn't seem to be raining at the moment.
I wouldn't say that a rocking stand was worse than a normal one, probably it's better even, as you'll have the option whether to leave it still or to rock it, so best of both worlds?0 -
Thanks snowbean.. fingers crossed for you and hope you feel 'normal' again.
getting a stiff back now just sat on the laptop. want to make lunch but am conscious that work man is still there, but am getting hungry. offered him toast earlier and he gave me his life story about his bowel problems. eww

Sorry MMM, I must have missed your birth announcement. Congratulations!
Don't worry too much about your tummy upset Snowbean, I think our guts do all kinds of funny things during pregnancy. You've probably just eaten something that has disagreed with you, I've had it a couple of times even though I haven't suffered with any kind of morning sickness or anything like that at all or even eaten anything particularly exotic!0 -
Delurking to say big congrats to sexymouse x
Congrats to everyone else who has given birth recently too.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hope the dodgy tummy doesn't come back snowbean.
Rups the only bad thing about the rocking stand (it's what I've got) is that it doesn't fold up. They are actually nicer because they rock the baby, just a pain that you can't fold it if you're short on space.
Really bored again this afternoon, I can't concentrate on anything as I'm just thinking about tomorrow. I shouldn't have got my hospital snacks so early as I keep eyeing them up. I really fancy my mint aero biscuits and toffee popcorn, don't know how much longer I can resist!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
drat! really? i should have told my bro that we want a normal stand. never mind now. we wont have a lot of space so we will have to see what we can do..hmm aero is my fav too and mint too:) yum
i am starving. my chips are ready and i have re-heat my fish but am conscious of having food in case carpet man decides to either go or come down and i want to enjoy it.. aghhh.. i want to eat!Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
