We can't name our kid Maisie as in OH's mother tounge it means little mouse / little girl.

Savage - no running in terror. I know i am being irrational about - that's the strange part. I think my problem is that I have a very good imagination. So not only do i think about things - I can visualise them happening and can feel the associated emotions that go with them. I have always been that way - made me very good at essay writing in school when i had to put myself in someone else's place and write from 1st person point of view. No good to me now when I start thinking about things. Lol! I think a little fear doesn't do any harm but it's when it becomes crippling that it is a problem. Trying very hard not to let it cripple me in that way!0

I think the only thing I am a bit worried about is the amount of people who seem to pop in your room and have a feel up your foof! I know they are all trained professionals and are seeing how much you are dilated etc but I’d feel like saying ‘jeez, buy a girl a drink or 2 first and at least tell me your name!!’0

when i was taking in for RFM and they examined me down there I actually said to the doctor doing it I bet when they asked you what you wanted to be when you grow up in school you never said sticking your fingers up ladies fannies did you? In all fairness I was an emotional wreck and was knackered so it just kind of came out but she seemed to be amused lolYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Yes, thankfully - we're about half an hour's non-labouring walk to the hospital (measured it on the weekend before the tour!) and I reckon 5 mins in a taxi or less in an ambulance
I was/am contemplating walking to hospital as my method of transport as being active should help baby move down the birth canal and should also distract somewhat from the contractions too, but am well aware that we'll have to take it as it comes
I live a similar distance away and thought about walking too until my friend said it took her 45 minutes to walk down the 100 yard hopsital corridor when she was in labour:eek:. On the plus side though it did get the baby into a good position for coming out!0 -
Congratulations Sexymouse, thats one heck of a labour!
I love the name Maisie, has been on my list but DH doesnt like it at all
Had another 'episode' through the night, the exact same thing that I went in hospital for a few wk ago. Leaking followed by lots of aching / tightening all night. Had a good sniff (as you do!) and it definitely wasnt wee . Didnt get so freaked out about it this time though, just cleaned myself up, put a towel down on bed and tried to get back to sleep! Feeling a bit achey today and still some tightenings every now and again but nothing major
Think these girls are getting me prepared :rotfl::j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0
