I can't seem to sleep in bed, it's too painful for me to be laid down, even when I'm exhausted. Got up for a wee the other night and was obviously exhausted as fell asleep on the toilet. Other places are sat on the sofa but these are now just generally 10 minute naps and nothing substantial.
It's annoying when you think things might be on the move Carrie and then it just stops. Hopefully it won't be too long till it's the real thing. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

hey carrie. sorry you are feeling fed up and not getting enough sleep. thought i was bad tossing and turning and snoring apparently. i just cant sleep too and iam only 27 weeks today. plus once i wake up to go to the loo, then my sleeps disturbed. sigh... i still have loads of time. hope your little one makes an appearance soon. isnt it funny how people say make the most of your sleep when pregnant because when the baby is here, it is hard? i refuse to beleive that one gets rest when pregnant.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Otherwise i end up still getting it from the post office, and the same hassle even though less of a distance. oh well.. this is the only big thing i have ordered. i also ordered a winnie the pooh book where i can stick pictures and write a bit about my experiences.. bit late at 27 weeks but never too late hey?Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Carrie, weirdly for some reason I seem to have been sleeping loads better again over the past week (touch wood, probably I've jinxed it now!). Despite that, I seem to also be feeling a lot more sleepy during the daytime. I really have to force myself to get up off the sofa, otherwise I just feel like napping the whole time
Feel sicky again today as well. Wish I knew why, but I can't figure it out?
Finally got OH to get some sandpaper from the loft so I could get on with painting our cot...and what a nasty day it's turned out to be. Doesn't look like the cot will be getting painted today...sigh. Have had to put the heating on for the first time today as well - not very MSE but my nips were hurting
So far I've only had one text asking if there were any signs of baby. Would probably bug me though if people were asking all the time. I don't know why people think you'd keep it a secret and never tell them?!0 -
Aw Rups, I can just see you dragging your huge parcel home with you
It's so annoying trying to get stuff online when you don't have a car to take it home in.
Need to go get some lunch I think. And maybe turn the heating off before the warmth sends me off to sleep!0 -
Afternoon all
Back to work today after a super-hectic weekend. Went to the Southampton Boat Show with my in-laws yesterday and got absolutely soaked through, I've never been so wet  Luckily we were all staying at their flat in the Hamble (little sailing town) so headed back to get dried off (all clothes in to tumble drier etc!) before driving home, or it would have been a very miserable drive back! DH enjoyed it though, so that's the main thing, he hasn't done much sailing stuff this year and he's really missed it. It's FIL and stepmum's wedding in 3 weeks as well, so got to hear all the last minute plans and see the dress etc, as they're getting married in Hamble. Can't believe their wedding is nearly here, they got engaged on the day we got our BFP, and the wedding has been months away for ages (like the arrival of baby). Once the wedding's done Beanie really will be nearly here, eek!
We also had our last NCT class on Saturday, but have arranged to meet up with the girls for dinner in a couple of weeks, and the boys are arranging something between them as well. Hopefully we'll all stay in touch, as everyone seems really nice.
I can't remember if I posted on here or FB after our breastfeeding session on Thursday, but it was really disappointing. The BF counsellor was really pushing a new(ish) approach called baby-led attachment or laid-back breastfeeding, but didn't really manage to explain how to go about doing it. She also didn't cover any of the more traditional BF positions/holds, so I came out of the class feeling like I had no idea how to feed my baby! Couldn't sleep and spent 3-5am on Friday morning researching online to try and sort it out myself. Our normal NCT class leader has been really balanced, and presented all options equally (after we'd been warned to expect a heavy "natural" bias by people beforehand), so it was really upsetting to find the BF counsellor so fixed on one way of doing things. Hopefully the midwives at the hospital will be more useful, though I suspect it's easier to explain things when you have a baby there to actually do the feeding with! :rotfl:
Hope everyone else had a good weekend, big labour vibes to the boldies and fingers crossed for induction MMMLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
I'm another one who doesn't sleep well. I don't even bother attempting to go to bed until about 1am most nights, that way I disturb DH less.
Had my sweep this morning and it was fine, not too painful at all. Unfortunately she couldn't do much as my cervix was only very slightly softened, so it isn't going to work. I didn't expect it to though, so I wasn't too disappointed. Not long until Friday now anyway!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800
