Thanks very much bikelesschick!!
Rups, lol, I think that she was asking for "slow cookers" not "cookers", like an electric huge pot that cooks slowly throughout the day. I might get myself one of those eventually, with a breadmaker... mmmmm
I would not spend much money on a non-maternity coat that you won't be able to put afterwards anyway, you say you are looking at 3-4 sizes over your normal size to ensure it fits... but it might not anyway, or it might button up, but then the shoulders are out of place. Second hand maternity won't have been used much anyway. Most people only wear it for like two to four months before giving birth. Before that, either the bump was not that big and they could use a normal coat, or the weather was not that bad as to justify a coat. Great news on your BIL maybe leavingOnce baby is born, your BIL won't be around, you will see, even if he comes back after your DH offer, I do not think he will put up with the baby crying at night, all the breastfeeding (use the living room, so he won't lol), the nappy changing, the baby smell, the baby stuff around... honestly, even if he is really comfy at yours and you both tell him it is ok to stay... I am not sure he would be around at that point once he realizes all that it involves.

I just ordered this maternity coat from M&S with a 20% off code, so just under £40 delivered to store. Hopefully it is OK. SIL had bought a new maternity coat in the sale in debenhams last year and said she would give it to me as baby no.4 is her last, but it hasn't materialised and I don't like to ask for it. It was 6 degrees here one day last week driving to work, so I'll just have to bite the bullet. Code is FBAUTUMN

My BF had a baby 9 days ago and put on 4 stone. She weighed herself this morning and has lost 3 of the 4, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Congrats Mishka and labour vibes to the boldies!
I felt so unwell last night. I had a sore back and slight tummy pains and felt drained of energy. I went to bed at 10pm and lay awake until about 3am, convinced I was going into premature labour! I'm only 29 weeks, so scary. I attempted to take DD out to the shops today, as she was fed up inside and DH was having a very rare day of football, but when I got there I felt light headed and the pressure on my bits was so uncomfortable, so I came straight home.
I've a mental week in work this week, so feel like I have to go in tomorrow no matter what, so hopefully I'll feel a bit better in the morning.0 -
Awwh hon CL, have an early night and rest up. hope you feel better soon esp tomorrow. thanks for that code. i could try and have a look. again wouldnt know what size to order. i need to do it quickly too as it is getting colder. thanks.xBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Thanks CL! Lovely coat that one!
Rups, I would order a size over what your normal pre-pregnancy coat was, to allow for some extra room. Maternity clothes are adapted to the bump, so they are supposed to have a similar size to your non maternity clothes, you do not have to add crazy sizes to allow for them to fit. However, I do find that because sizing changes so much from shop to shop, and because I have also swollen a bit around my arms, I am more comfy with an extra size compared to my pre-pregnancy tops. Jeans and underwear are different, they have increased over two sizes because I am retaining so much water around my hips! Can you go to any M&S and try a maternity coat on? They usually are in the RedHerring section, try only maternity coats and see what size is yours now, then bid on eBay!! Lol. I think if you were a 10, a 12 would do for a coat. Also, somebody has also pointed it out (rubbish memory for who has said what, sorry), but listings ending at the weekend go for more money than listings ending during the week. I have just sold a few things on eBay, one item ended on a Wednesday mid day... and it did not sell, I put it again to end last night, and it had lots of bids!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

i looked up the coat and my size (well 14 maternity) is out of stock. today that has been happening to me. well always and i always end up paying full price. sigh. i didnt end up getting my asda shop either as some things at the till came out of stock and then a delvery charge. so i just cancelled. all that excitement for nothing.
