Morning everyone.
Good luck twinklie, hope you get to meet your little one quickly.
Sorry to hear about your test snowbean. I'm sure you'll pass next time.
Nephthys - glad your scan went well. My baby has tried to hide in every one of the 7 scans, and she's a girl. But then my son was exactly the same lol!
MummyofTwo - do mention it to your midwife, hopefully it's nothing to worry about though. I've had thrush on and off for weeks now and can't clear it, but I don't have particularly yucky discharge. I have been swabbed, so in my case it is confirmed as thrush.
What is a normal BMI when pregnant? They weighed me and calculated mine for the first time since being pregnant and I'd gone up from 21 at booking to 26, so that sounds high to me but I don't really know.
I had a productive day yesterday. I got an ex-display cotbed complete with mattress from Kiddicare for £80 which was quite a good deal. I realised a moses basket would cost just as much by the time I'd bought a stand so have decided just to get the cotbed and put baby straight in there. DH has now got the job of rearranging our bedroom so the cotbed will fit in.
I got lots of blankets, bedding etc as well and I now have everything on my list except for a holdall and changing bag. I'm quite pleased to be finished now as I can sit back and relax today. I just have to get the baby clothes washed and then I'm doneCross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
Morning all!
mlbarrett I had the same reaction when I had my GTT - nearly fainted at the blood test and felt sick for the rest of the day and ended up back in bed for the afternoon. I'm phobic of needles, but never normally feel faint - I get the panic reaction normally, so this was new one on me. Hopefully your results will come back clear like mine did and you'll be fine.
Rups I only had a GTT cos my Mum had gestational diabetes in her pregnancy and also had diabetes now. It's up to the midwife if she thinks your risk factors are high enough to need one - not everyone does. Also, for your sore throat, try pineapple juice (fresh not from concentrate) as there is something in it that really does work for sore throats - apparently they also give it to cancer patients who suffer from bad mouth ulcers. It is perfectly safe to have in pregnancy and won't induce labour, so don't panic about that. Our hospital doesn't do cord blood donation - you need to check with your individual hospital.
Cake I've been having those shooting pains for a couple of weeks now. My friend said they could be effacement pains (where the cervix starts to thin and ripen) but other theories are that it's when the baby hits a nerve. Midwife was very vague when I mentioned them to her, and just said it could be when I mentioned the effacement pains. It's definitely nothing to worry about either way.
MATB1 form (sorry I can't remember who it was who was asking) should be given to you from 20 weeks onwards so that you can put in your claim for statutory maternity pay which should be done 15 weeks before your due date. If you've not already received it, you can get one from your GP - you don't have to wait til your next mw appointment, and I would suggest you don't wait that long as I don't know what position that puts you in legally for applying.
Decorator here painting our bedroom as we speak - had better go and make him a coffee in a minute as I've heard him coughing a couple of times now so think he could do with one.
Off to update the list now.
Hugs to all who need or want them and labour vibes where appropriate.

morning all. thanks for all the advise. i wanted to write loads but forgotten lol
good luck twinklie. hope it happens fast for you now.xx
with regards to MATB1 form, i got mine from my gp when i saw him at 25 weeks. he nearly forgot so had to remind him. lol.
regarding getting weighed, they havent done it at all since my first booking in. i might mention it as now i think if they calculated my bmi, i am def high. i was overweight to start with and they seemed ok with that right at the beginning.
cough has got worse and chesty.stupid cold. am home today working and will stick heating on. hubbby says to use this corsodyl type thing to gargle but am scared to use it (i know am not swallowing). should it be safe-ish?
can feel flutters stilllast night i felt movement on the right side. so weird how belly moves up and down.
i better go and have that yucky lemon and honey thing. yuck yuck.
tired and i cancelled my dentist appointment as couldnt be bothered to go out feeling yuck.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

savage, you might then be giving birth in the same hospital as me!!
At times it was a bit graphic for my DH's taste, but not that bad for mine. All stories ended well, which was nice. Check Youtube? Some people add clips there. If it is my hospital, I recommend you to go on a tour, they do them every Saturday and Sunday at 2pm, start at reception. We went when I was 15 weeks, lol, but I want to go again when I am closer to the date. You just pop in and sign their form, you do not have to call or book in advance.
I have doctors today, no idea what for, last time was useless, urine test and questions, nothing my mw couldn't have done. Let's see.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

hello ladies
sorry havent been able to read back there is a few pages i need to catch up on it as for me i was send to hospital for tests on tuesday after high bp at mw appntmnt, was even more anxoius when i got there and bp was still through the roof they took blood and urine sample and said i have to be admitted there and thenThey done a couple of ctg scan and a normal scan and they were both fine which reassured me abit evantually the bp went down but still high level for me . the urine had 3+ protein in it which they worried about so iam having 24 hrs urine sample collection to be checked this evng to see if i can go home tonight . it does look like pre eclampsia though
quick note to snowbean dont be upset abt yr test i passed 4th time all due to silly things and nerves so sont give up and keep checking for cancellation ( try phoning dvla) sometimes they dont update on website . Rups hope u feel better second honey+ lemon, labor vibes to all needed xxx0 -
Rups I wouldn't bother getting weighed, BMi isnt an accurate measure when your pregnant anyway. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

Sorry to hear you've had to be admitted shery but pleased that they seem to be bringing your BP down. Glad you went to the GP and hope the rest of your tests come back clear so you can go back home again. xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Good Luck Twinklie......hope things move quickly and easily for you
had a 34wk MW appt yest, baby is breech and back to back, no surprises there, booked in to see the consultant at 36 wks, whats the earliest they'll give a section on a breech baby, ive read some at 38, some 39 and even bang on the 40 wk mark?
after much to-ing and fro-ing i'm going for a section, i am so tired its not real and i feel as tho theres a red hot knife stuck in my lower back constantly, the thought of going over my due date actually depresses me and fills me with dread. Plus this is number 4 and i'm mid 30's, my baby making days are over so i'm wanting to be sterilized too, so my mind is set, i'm not even gonna think about if he turns and delivering naturally, as soon as they say baby is developed enough for a section, i'm having it!Skint, but happy (ish):p0
