Not sure I will log in before induction at 10. My hospital don't let you use mobiles either so will quite possibly be awal now. I lost my mucus plug before so hoping things will go quickly and smoothly. Fingers crossed. x

    Good luck xx

oh gosh i was worried about that because i am big too. weird thing was when i saw gp at 25 weeks he didnt say anything so i will take that as a positive i guess. i did worry that i did put on weight quickly and istill keep eating. oops.. fingers crossed for next week then.

I think they go by your bmi at your booking in appointment and not how big your bump is now. If your bmi was below 30 then you probably won't need the test.

Argh, I don't seem to get right the multiquote!

MATB1, I had mine at 24 weeks but I had to ask the midwife. I guess you could always book an appointment with her and ask for it, they do it straight away, if you do not want to wait.

Thanks also for the info on the blood cord. I will have to ask, I have a GP appointment tomorrow at hospital with the obstetrician, so I might ask then just in case she knows something about it.:)

Rups, it has been mentioned here, but a mug hot water + fresh lemon juice + a teaspoon of honey works wonders, four or five of those a day, and I am good in a couple of days. I hope your DH remembers both dates and makes something for you. My DH is good with dates, but just in case, I have them all written in the calendar!!

Good luck with the induction twinklie!!

I had a bit of retail therapy today, I feel much better now! I bought a jumper, a nice thin black dressing gown to be around the house and a good supportive bra that does not look like my grandma's bras!:D

I have. It's present but I'm not showing symptoms of it.

thanks mlbarrett. just asking because i have had thrush type symptoms at least 4-5 times in this pregnancy, and im worried that it could actually be GBS as im not getting the manky discharge type part of thrush. i have the thrush-type symptoms again now. im supposed to see the midwife today for a sweep, but im thinking of delaying sweep and asking her to do a swab just to be on the safe side as im booked for a homebirth. any thoughts ladies?

I would mention it to your midwife hun, if she decides to swab you though it may put an end to the homebirth x

  • yea i thought that would be the case, but i would be more worried about the effects of the GBS on baby. ive told my MW each time ive had the thrush type symptoms, but shes never mentioned a swab. my worry now is if she does it today, sends it off, and then i go into labour in the meantime! im 40 + 3 today.
  • Morning everyone. haven't read back yet but just wanted to to say that had big scan yesterday and all is going well so far. Baby was very active and kept trying to cover its face as radiographer was looking for hare lip. it was kinda funny. DH reckons that it means baby is a boy as it was being awkward. Everyone else says girl as it was being shy. I'm more inclined to the awkward boy theory! We didn't find out in the end so we'll know in approximately 18 weeks! But so far so good. Will read back and pop back on later! hope everyone is ok.

Only recently discovered that the midwife program on BBC recently is at the hospital I'm going to. I wasn't going to watch it as it was apparently a bit more graphic than the OBEM, but I'm a bit annoyed now as I wanted to scope out the surroundings. I managed to snag the last one on iplayer, but have missed all the others :(

    Morning everyone :)

Bad night's sleep here, woke up at 4 and baby had hiccups, and then couldn't get back to sleep til about 6.15. Was so not ready for alarm at 6.45! Last day of the week for me today though, as I'm only working 4 days a week until I finish :j

We've got our NCT breastfeeding class tonight, hope it will be useful.

If she does swab you and you go into labour before the results could you just go to the hospital? They may have the results on the system sooner anyway x
