The main reason for me having it was down to my BMI (i'm not the slimmest person around). Plus mw found some glucose in my urine at 25 week appt so wanted me to have GTT before today.
Thankfully no glucose in wee today. Have changed my breakfast eating from coco pops and toast, to sultana bran with yoghurt and toast which mw thinks has helped. Also having orange juice to make iron absorption more effective from the sultanas and bran flakes.
Have you tried hot squash, Rups? I find it's helped with any sore throats, especially when I've not wanted to take pain killers.Little man arrived 13 Dec 20120 -

Just posting quickly on my phone, hope everyone is ok. Had a few short sharp stabbing pains around my cervix, kind of like being stabbed with a needle. Ive had kicks/punches from babies there before and its a different feeling altogether. Anyone know if this is a sign of my cervix getting ready or just one of those things? TIA:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0

Hi mountainmum
Sorry to hear your bad test news, snowbean
Labour vibes to the boldies
Had 28 week appt today. GTT came back fine, iron levels fine, bump measured at 29cm so pretty good, heartbeat really strong. Head downwards but that could easily change.
Mentioned to midwife that B Strep was detected last year and she had difficulty finding it in my medical notes. Finally have a copy of the letter confirming it. Guess it means I won't be leaving for the hospital at the last min. Better get some cash put aside for the car park.
One thing I did forget to ask the midwife: when should I get MATB1?
You should have got it from mw around 24-26 weeks. (depending when you had apppointments) I had to send mine to my hr dept by the time I was 27 weeks to confirm my mat leave details.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Thanks LittleMoog. Will ask mw in 3 weeks' time at my next appt. Must put a post-it on my notes to remind me. HR have my leave dates and are writing to me to confirm them.Little man arrived 13 Dec 20120 -
Not sure I will log in before induction at 10. My hospital don't let you use mobiles either so will quite possibly be awal now. I lost my mucus plug before so hoping things will go quickly and smoothly. Fingers crossed. xReduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I hope not as I've been getting them too over the last few days  when I've googled it, it sounds like it's normal but I don't remember having them the last time.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0
