  • Sounds like you have it all covered Marta, apart from baby moniters (if needed) I went on stupid with my last 2 buying silly amount of clothes, expensive travel cots and swings ect and found it was just a total waste of money this time i would rather keep the money in the bank.

I am thinking of getting this cotbed simply for the storage and to save my back with the changer http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3773853/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CNursery%7C14417537.htm

Look at the price it is on mamas and papas  http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-hayworth-package-white/pkha02700/type-i/ Its the price of some of the mattress's that shock me some of them are so expensive.

I am doing the same with the bath, they are just to big to store

regarding the nappies i would say be careful i have decided to put some money on a asda savings card so i have pre paid for them, because you just dont know my 1st was quite big born so wasted loads of small nappies and my 2nd was very small , some nappies are better for girls that boys, some are horrible and leak and some just dont agree with babys skin.
I have bought 2 packs of newborn and 1 pack of size 1 and thats all i am getting until it arrives and then OH will be paying a visit to asda to get more.

I want to start buying clothes but not sure what size to buy my 1st went straight into 0-3 months and my 2nd newborn was to big and had to get tiny baby mmm i just dont know what to buy

Marta we didn't spend thousands either hun but we have everything and more, I do believe I've gone a bit OTT. Spend what you want as long as baby has the essentials - somewhere to sleep, some clothes, a means of feeding and a means of transport that's all they need. I wouldn't worry about what other people have - although I am a naughty enabler and like to suggest things like Kermit vests to people lol x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

  • Evening ladies,

Nothing preg related going on with me today just wanted to come on and ask you all to stop putting me in the 69 position, honestly have been in and out and back into it for a week now, it's knackering!!

It's also the most sex I'd have had in weeks!!

    :D:p;)

    Sorry to lower the tone!!

I had my sweep today, was horrible! Everything is only starting to open so was very uncomfortable. Was losing my plug yesterday though and all through the night had lots of pinky discharge. Similiar today though not as bad. Keeping fingers crossed that things start soon! Blood pressure had gone up again so more monitoring tomorrow. Feeling pretty fed up! Can't wait for baby to be out rather than in and to start feeling 'normal' again.

Sorry to everyone unhappy with moving down or up the list. That happened to me quite a lot when I was in the 60s and then there was a sudden rush of births and I went up the list pretty quickly after that!

bellola sorry to hear how uncomfortable the sweep was. Hope it works for you though so that you're feeling normal again and are having your Mummy cuddles.

Had a doze this afternoon - didn't manage to sleep as Bean had other ideas - he's been extremely wriggly the past couple of days - he's obviously fed up with the lack of space in there now and is trying to break out!

Moon is impressed by the cleaning etc that I've done today, and I think he's relieved that he didn't have to do the sheet changing (he hates doing it and I've made him do them for months now cos the mattress is a foam one and it's really heavy). He's just finishing making the dinner now, which is good cos I'm starving! Think all the cleaning used up some of my iron reserves as my inner eyelids were very pale again this afternoon. Have had a spatone and taken my second iron tablet for the day and they're nice and red again now. :)

Just heard the oven timer go off, so I'm off downstairs now.

Labour vibes to those who want them, and welcome to all the newcomers. Jules I've left the sex of the baby as a yellow ? on the list, but let me know if you want that changing.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Great bargain you got there, Marta.

My mum works for the company and managed to pick up a few bits during her lunch break. She's now admitted that she's a proud grandma :D and it's not often my parents express themselves that way (they're quite reserved).

  • ive hardly spent anything this time around, biggest thing has been the cotbed and pram, had to buy a double so obviously thats cost me but i intend to get my moneys worth out of it, 6 babygrows, 6 vests, 2 cardys, 1 coat, socks, 2 hats, bottles and teats, 1 pack of nappies(lol) and i think thats it........dont plan on getting much more either.
    Skint, but happy (ish):p
