Well the bedroom and the landing are thoroughly hoovered now - had to move the bed a few times to get all of the plaster etc that had got under the bed somehow (I guess they probably had to move it around as they went along too), so I was a bit naughty there as it's a solid wooden bed, and quite heavy. I'm not in any pain though, so don't think I've strained anything. I'm pleased that the carpet has had a thorough clean though, as I'd only ever cleaned under the bed as far as the hoover would stretch before, so having the furniture out of the room was great as it satisfied my inner perfectionist. Still need to do the stairs and the hallway downstairs but I'm going to have a sit-down for a bit first as it's worn me out a bit and I'm really hot. Making the most of this energy surge though (goodness knows where it's come from considering my lack of sleep last night).

Rups, that's a shame about the dentist work. Thankfully my dentist said I was grand but is checking em again in 3 months due to a bit of gum bleeding. i got that the last time with DS so we're assuming its pregnancy realted but he'll keep an eye on it just the same. And try not to freak over the dream - they get really vivid in pregnancy. I have woken up at times wondering if the dream was real or not. But then i do tend to have an overactive imagination!

LittleMoog - now I want biscuits!! and I've just eaten my lunch. Yayy for the new car!

I think my babu changing bag has been delivered today. The box is huge. I dont want to unpack it here at work as the people are so nosey. lol. had a go at the guy who brought the box back with me in the lift. he keeps asking me whether i am sure i havent got 2 in my belly. so i told him off and said dont you know how women would take that comment? oops...

anyway had a bad nights sleep. was too hot and umcomfy. i also disturbed dh. poor thing. :-( thanks moneypenny (or was it LMM?) i am sorry if i have got that mixed up! i am trying not to get stressed with DH. He is wonderful actually and does tell me to take it easy but he forgets at times, that when he is on his missions, he expects me to do stuff as well. And all i say now is no i am tired so if he gets mad, he does and i dont feel guilty about it anymore. he gets mad for a few minutes and then he is ok. lol. i find me trying to explain stuff more and more to him gets him agitated and we both go mad. lol. i will take each day as it comes. when he annoys me, i tell him. lol. been asking him to help me to shave me down there for a while now so i better nag him. lol

had a horrid dream when i managed to get some sleep..:( i dreamt, i went to the loo and when i wiped myself many times, i was bleeding and i panicked. also then when i was walking aorund, i kept asking people to check if my belly has gone soft as it had.:( stupid dream.

got a headache now and was at the dentists. yuck. i need a new amalgam filling the week after and also when bubba is born i need that wisdom tooth out (as need xrays etc) AND a new crown. my teeth are so so bad.:( hope bubba gets daddys teeth as he has nice ones. time for lunch soon yay!! xxx

I need to go to the dentist too have finally got my exemption card through so must book a check up for one of my days off. I've got a really bad tooth (large and deep filling) which will need extracting at some point, but I'm putting it off as it's not giving me any pain and I can't afford an implant to replace it

I had a really weird/funny dream over the weekend. My bump has been feeling really stretched and tight for the last week, like it's having a growth spurt, but in my dream something went pop and I zoomed around the room like a deflating balloon - turns out I wasn't pregnant, just gassy! :rotfl: woke up really upset and had to turn the light on to check bump was still there! Managed to wake up DH in the process and after I explained what I was doing he fell off the bed laughing at me!

wow sexymouse.. i want that energy too. i am so useless at the mo! have been thourghout and am still waiting for the outburst of energy. lol. maybe with me it wont happen? lol.. dont go too mad though.

littlemoog, great news on your car. we went and saw with FIL and we liked them, so am hoping that DH gets one of them. i totally get how you feel after your dream. i felt horrid. seeing all that blood freaked me out. at least your DH laughed at you. mine would have told me off. lol. now you have your exemption card, you might as well make use of it. i still hate dentists though. for me to get my wisdom tooth out will be free but at Kings college hospital in London but can get the crown for free after bubba is born. a filling i can cope with nothing else.

its so warm in the office. my heads sore.

Hi all not posted for over 2 weeks so been trying to catch up all morning and now its 2pm :eek: you ladies can talk 1 hour to do all my housework before kids school run.

Nephthys how dare you knock me down the list by one place ;-) lol i was so happy to be finally in the 60's now back to 70th

On my last post i had just visited my MW and was panicing a bit because i was told i had a trace of blood in my urine and had to wait for a week to get results back, well Mw has not been in touch so all seems to be good :j
I have been really busy in my house throwing stuff and getting rid of stuff on freecycle and a bit of decorating,to make room for storing baby things i have started to buy, silly me i have pushed myself to much and i am suffering now with my back and have spent all weekend with feet the size of an elephants, they look ok today which is good because i was beginning to think i was going to have to do school run in my slippers which is not a good look
I have my 20 week scan on thursday it seems to have took ages to get to this point, we cant wait to find out what it is. I am sure we are having a boy and OH keeps dreaming about it being a girl. eee i have a big grin on my face just thinking about it haha

To all the ladies who welcomed me into the FB group i just wanted to say thankyou for letting me join, i am sorry i have not posted yet, but i promise i will sometime this week

Well i now have 40 minutes of mad housework so better run

good luck for your scan ellionic. :0) must be exciting for you both as you are finding out what you are having.

DH and BIL were in the garden yesterday so i can see lots of dirt everywhere in the kitchen. driving me nuts but i wasnt able to clean and mop as i was too tired trying to cook up some of that extra meat still!!! we still have loads left!! aggghhh.
want to go home and sleep but always have to think about dinner esp as we have that boy with us!

Officially first day of maternity leave for me, although I was on hols last week too. Now at 37 + 2

I have been completely lazy until 2pm, then achieved loads in the last hour, vacuumed, started batch cooking and finally washing all the baby stuff I have knitted - will try to post a pic later of this as it is all pretty even if I do say so myself;)

List of names is now down to 4 as well, I have a strong preference but am too scared to insist on it just yet, so will keep working on letting him think it was his idea.

I think I have finally decided I will go with the separate birth centre rather than the one in the main hospital, we looked round yesterday and it is so relaxed. It only has space for 9 people, and has a huge communal area and brand new facilities. Plus air con, which is the one thing I hate most about hospitals that they are sooooo hot.

There seem to be a lot of posters today who don't appear much (like me) so hello to all of them, as well as the guys who are here all the time.

Oh and thanks so much for your post norabatty, every bit of it was useful for me

Aw Snowbean– we really had to push ourselves financially to be able to do the NCT classes.I’m glad we did but I’ve also met other nice people through yoga too. I thinkthe social side starts once baby is here really and you start to go to Bumpsand Babies groups, NCT sales and toddler groups etc and are forced to socialisewith other mums and dads. Don’t feel cut off though. If you ever want to meetfor a drink or go to some kind of baby group together just let me know, andI’ll be happy to come along, or the men can take the babies down the pubtogether J

Having abit of a down day today. I’m at 36 weeks and 4 days and feeling reallyoverwhelmed by the thought of having a baby in a few weeks, almost as thoughI’ve changed my mind! I feel awful for saying that but now that work is windingdown and I’m finishing next Thursday and they’re planning a leaving do for meetc its just suddenly hit me that life is going to change. I’m not going to becoming to work each work, not earning money at the end of each month (itsactually surprised me how important this is to me!) and am going to be at homewith a baby, and for the most part, alone. I feel terrible and really guiltyfor feeling this way, but I have this overwhelming sense of ‘time is runningout’ and I just can’t get my head round it. I think I might be in denial.


Our babywas very much wanted and definitely planned but we were very lucky in that wefeel pregnant immediately as soon as we tried. I had fully expected it to take6 months to a year to get pregnant (rather than first go!), so was reallyshocked when it happened straight away but also very excited. Now I just feelfilled with dread and feel so awful saying that as I know from the TTC andWaiting to TTC threads how frustrating and devastating it can be to see anegative test each month. I feel ungrateful that I am at a stage that hundredsand thousands of women would love to be at, and I’m scared and want to runaway. What a hideous coward.


Part of thestress may be due to me being terrified of giving birth. I am really not sureanything is going to fit out of there!! I’ve never been very good at being ill,and am a horribly pukey, shakey, wobbly person in general. Plus I have Strep Band stupidly watched a video on youtube yesterday about a women who had Strep Band lost her baby to septicaemia 20 minutes after he was born. I think becauseI can’t feel confident that I’ll actually get to bring my baby home, I justcan’t see a clear pathway of getting through the next few weeks. One of my bestfriends, who I had intended to ask to be Godmother has also just announcedshe’s moving to Australia mid October so she won’t be here for support either.


I’ve got adoctor’s appointment in the morning, and have spoken to my mum and OH aboutsome of the above – more about the stress of giving birth and the Strep Brather than having changed my mind as I just don’t feel I can say that toanyone. How weird is it that the thought of having him terrifies me, but sodoes the thought of not having him too. My god, I feel such a headcase today I probably shouldn’t be allowedout. Hoping you’re all in a better state than me today
