Rups there should be numbers listed in the front of your notes for who to ring, I thought EPU was only for early pregnancy not 2nd trimester too but it obviously varies. I would have thought it is the baby though hun.

I've been to dentist this morning, the dental nurse didn't tell him I was pregnant so had to tell him before he did x-rays. Not quite sure why he wanted to do x-rays as he said my teeth were perfect but he seemed to be xraying quite a few people so wonder if it's some new plan to have all our dental xrays on file? He then polished my teeth made my gums bleed and boy did they bleed and then I threw up! Lovely!

Just wondered if anybody finds that sugary stuff sends them to sleep? Had a bottle of lucozade at my nans and about 10 minutes later I fell asleep on her sofa and woke up an hour later, it only happens when I have sugary things though. The drink for the GTT made me feel really drowsy too I had to really fight to stay awake.

If in doubt ring them all lol, they will probably be used to getting calls and should know who to call and give you their number. At your next midwife appointment maybe you could ask for a more extensive list of numbers and people to ring.

Rups: my midwife at book-in said up to 20 weeks for EPU, after that (I don't know actually :o) - I have a stack of numbers on the front of my green notes that I'd try then!

Thanks for all the good wishes. Baby and dogs are all sleeping and the house is peaceful!

I did the Mongan Hypnobirthing with the Rainbow relaxation CD (but I also listened to the Peace Sanctury and Birth Affirmations one regularly). The Affirmations one was good for walking the dog to ('I see myself giving birth easily, each surge brings me closer to my baby' :-) The course was the best thing; I did it with my partner and my mother. It was really fun, interesting and I learnt loads (so did my mother and she has had a few kids!) which was just as well because I looked up NHS antenatal classes at 6 months and they were booked up until two weeks after my expected date!

There is one perineal massage YouTube video where it shows an amusing NHS no legged manikin to illustrate what to do! I couldn't do it both sides as shown; I had to do one side then the other or get my partner to help (although this easily leads to distraction..!)
