Wow ikkle - you're super organised then! If only I had somewhere to store everything, I'd hopefully be the same. Need to pin Moon down as to when we're going to get the furniture, and then I'm nesting big-style! Moon will have no idea what has hit him! lol

Lol. We were quite lucky. We found a large 2 bedroom maisonette in Leeds near my family when I was 14 weeks so moved from a small 1 bedroom flat in Ripon where we had no space at all. The new place has lots more room and built in storage so we've not needed to buy a wardrobe or anything. Im getting a chest of drawers next month as a birthday present though as think I will need just a little more room. Then I just get bored so do stuff, running out of things to do now though lol.

No sign my baby wants to come yet either. And I was hoping he'd be early/on time! I keep asking/telling him to come out! A bit fed up with being massive too. Got my first appointment with the midwife tomorrow for nearly 3 weeks as I couldn't get one sooner. I'll probably ask her about when they might think about induction if it comes to that but she is the rubbish midwife I mentioned before so she probably won't be particularly helpful. She doesn't like answering questions.

We have got tons of clothes too, much more than Ikkle. But we were given most of them by my husband's work colleague, many of which have never been worn. I actually had to give 15 babygrows away to my hairdresser who is also expecting! Better to have too many than not enough I guess.

Re. room thermometer/monitor – said in a previous post we got this one as it had such good reviews on Amazon and Mothercare. It has a built-in thermometer and isn't too expensive:

I counted and we've got just under 200 disposable nappies. I was going to get some bamboo reusables in the Little Lamb sale but thought maybe better to wait til payday on Friday. Seem to have spent a lot of money recently on house and baby stuff! Does anyone really swear by the Little Lamb reusables?

To all the ladies past their due dates, hope your babies come asap!

that room monitor looks good but i do like what someone put in the reviews, not much good having one if the alarm goes off and you dont know what to do, going to see if i can find a first aid course for babies now..... got me worrying again :)
  • Morning ladies!

Just quickly reading. Am off to the hospital if I actually get dressed. Need to go for a blood test as last result was off. My temp was high again this morning which does tie in with high WBC so will take my wee sample too. Will speak to the midwife while I'm there and chase my scan that I'm meant to be having before next Tuesday and not heard anything about.

Ikkle you're super organised. If I send you a train ticket and you please come here? I vacuum packed all bubbas clothes whilst we decorate to save space. Then I'll start organising them cannot wait. Once the nursery is painted I can start being miss organised :)
Gemma hugs for the crappy night and sore arm
LittleM could be infection or just pressure on the bladder. Like others have said no harm in getting it checked.
Rebekah I think was going this morning? I'm so excited :j maybe little lady has arrived already? I'm seriously going to stalk your Facebook for any announcements lol!
Chrissy and MMM glad the houses coming along with the improvements.
Room thermometers everyone has high tech things! I have a cardboard I love my bear one. Also a duck bath one from Mothercare. Not convinced we'll need a monitor will play by ear.
Toni I've always found that whatever I look at for reviews there's always a couple that don't like it or couldn't work it out. If it generally has good reviews I'm sure it'll be ok.

    Right I must get dressed!
Big labour vibes to the boldies and hugs to those that need them. Bye for now xxx

Is anyone who is at a similar stage to me finding themselves getting super tired now? I can't seem to make it through the day without a nap but then when I wake up I end up feeling sick :undecided

    xx

I find that if I am just in the house then I am fine but if I go out even to the local shop (<5mins) I have to have a nap for a few hours when I get home. Went to a hen night on Saturday and I am still recovering, don't think I have been awake for more than a few hours at a time.

Good luck today Rebekah not ready for mini_cub to come yet but really jealous of your imminent mummy cuddles :D

I am ill today, woke up with a sore throat etc. Taken paracetamol and just feeling sorry for myself. Might have to eat chocolate to cheer me up, although not sure that is the most wise food choice when flemmy :o

Hope you feel better Kitten Pie.

LMM - good luck at the hospital.
  • AMC I've bought the Little Lamb disposable nappies but as this is my first I've not tried them before! I read loads of stuff on the net about all the diff types out there and looked at reviews from other Mums; I know there are other nappies out there but we decided that these were the best ones for us. I was lucky enough to get 20 Size 1 nappies + wraps (10No. I think) 20 bamboo liners and 20 fleece liners - all brand new - for a bargain price on ebay, but when the facebook link came up with a second sale and it had 10 Size 2 nappies for £35 I just had to order them! Have had to put it on the credit card for now but I always pay everything off in full each month so not too worried. Mum saw the Size 1 nappies and she thought that they were brilliant!

LMM good luck for the hpospital, hope all is ok! x

Re thermometers not got one yet, but will probaby look to use a cardboard freebie to be honest! Not planning on getting a monitor - think OH wants one, but you'll hear a crying baby from wherever you are in our house so I am not sure that it will be worth spending the money on. Plus if we really needed one, I think we would be able to borrow from OH's stepsister or my best mate as they won't need theirs by then.

Finally got my GTT results back - after calling my GP's for the last four weeks, they told me that as it was the hospital that wanted me to have the test I had to call them up for the result! They could have told me that two weeks ago! Anyway, all good, no problems so that is a relief.

has anyone seen the Bumbo seats btw? http://www.bumbo.com/
OH step sister has one for her little girl - it looked pretty good, but was just wondering what other people thought of them? She has offered it to us when our LO comes along - it is a pink one though and OH says that's fione if we have a girl, lol!
