I would say that you could get away with the kidtech one dizsie - when Bean goes to stay at my M&D's then he'll be sleeping in a travel cot with an additional mattress in - probably will be the tesco one. You can also use vouchers to help with the cost then too.

    Hi all.

Congrats RJH! What a big baby! Over here they call that "half reared" LOL. Love reading the birth stories so can't wait for this one.

And I'm am now in the 50s! I was in the 70s for ages and 60s for a few days!

I had my 25 week appointment yesterday and MW measured bump and said it was below the normal range, but she started measuring part of the way down the bump. I've definitely got a good sized bump, so I just said that she hadn't got the whole bump measured and she said it wasn't very accurate anyway and wrote the measurement down and said nothing else about it. I'm not worried about it.

DH also told me last night I was a nightmare at the minute. I think I've been dead on, but he was stressed as our dishwasher broke and he went to buy a new one and was fitting it himself. And when someone is short with me and I haven't done anything, my default is to lose it. I think if he's short with me, what does he expect.

lol I'm exactly the same with my DH - I think being a bossy teacher doesn't help, as I treat him the same way as if a child had been stroppy with me.

Dizsie for occasional use foam is fine, if its for a cot bed though Id go for sprung, more supportive on there backe etc as they grow. Boots have a fab one, so many of the newborn ladies have it. I think its around £60. Iv had a lay down on it and its super comfy. (I think its called something like moon and stars?)

Welcome to the thread shery. Hope you manage to get the birth you would like. I've a friend who is at a similar stage in her pregnancy who is aiming for a VBAC and they have said that if her baby is developed enough at 36 weeks when she has a scan, that they will induce her then. Is this normal procedure if you want a VBAC or is it cos she had a difficult first birth? This is also her second son too.

Hi shery - welcome to the thread :) My youngest was 6 a couple of months ago, so I have the same big gap as you. Hope you manage to avoid the c section this time.

Glad you enjoyed your meal Rups. rjh has put a picture on the fb group.

Dizsie I wouldn't worry too much about getting an expensive mattress unless baby'll be staying there very often. For occasional use the tesco one should be fine.

Hope you're feeling better soon LittleMoog.

Enjoy the aquanatal sexymouse. That is quite expensive isn't it? I think it's around £3 here, although I don't go as I can't swim properly.

MMM sorry to hear things aren't so good with your OH at the moment. It is a pain when they don't fully appreciate how physically hard pregnancy can be. I hope you manage to get through to him that you need to rest up.

I don't think the measurements are too reliable CL, so I agree it's not worth worrying. My fundal height hasn't gone up since 30 weeks, it's still at 29cm now I'm nearly 35 weeks, but because of the growth scans I know baby IS getting bigger, so the measurement is meaningless in my case.

I think it's cos they have a midwife-led discussion group afterwards - either on a topic or people ask questions. Well I'd better go and pack my bag! Now do I put the swimsuit on here, or wait til I get there (only 2 changing cubicles)?
