Busy for me at the moment, we are off on holiday for a week soon and I have lots of deadlines at work to get done in the next, erm, day (off from Friday!). Then we have a housewarming party pretty much as soon as we get back and there are about 14 people sleeping over!!
I got my 'rocking' chair and footstool off ebay on the weekend, haven't had a chance to sit in it yet but it looks in great conditionAlso had the cot mattresses arrive (one for our baby bay and one for our cot, which one of the housewarming visitors will be sleeping on - he's almost 1!).
Still got to sort out the baby's room though, for the moment we just need to stuff stuff in the cupboards that are there, but we need to redecorate the whole room too. For now I've got plastic boxes for stuff to go into.0 -
Sexymouse hope your freind is ok and enjoys a healthy pregnancy as for vbac and induction as far as i know they dont go well together this is very strange opinion that they want to induce her for no apparent medical reason my consultant was adamant that he doesnt like to induce for vbac due to rupture risk He said providing all developping well and no abnormal factors involved like high bp or baby position that only induction methods he can used is a sweep which is around due date no medicated induction , my neighbour is a consultant as well and i had a chat wz him the other day and he has the same opinion . I will be seeing consultant next tuesaday so will discuss it further.0

Shery that makes sense, induced contractions are normally stronger than non-induced ones so I'd imagine they wouldn't want to induce a VBAC. Perhaps SexyMouse's friend's induction is due to the baby possibly being too large later on because of some of the scar complications in her case specifically?0

I thought it sounded odd too, but didn't want to alarm her by asking. I think her first baby was quite big and she is really tiny, so this may be why. *confused*Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

i have a question please? i have booked my 25 week appointment with the GP, however have you all seen your GPs at 25 weeks too or the midwife. there are a few people who got the option to see the midwife. what does the gp do at that appointment anyway? Thanks ladiesBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I've not seen my GP at all for antenatal care, I only see the midwife or consultant. Maybe it differs from area to area.
Fur Baby thinks he is a parrot, he's so far spent most of his time either sat or laid on my shoulder, he's currently asleep there now lol. The pigeon has gone, don't know if it has flown away or been got by a larger bird though as there was a lot of noise this morning.
I'm just gonna get ready to go to see the anesthetist, then we get to go out in the rain. Fun Times.
Told my nan about how my ankle is bleeding water not blood and she thought I was winding her up lol. It's still trickling after 3 hours, might have skinny ankles by tonight lol xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I don't see a GP at all this pregnancy, except for my (useless) first point of contact to be referred to the midwives. I'm now completely community led midwife until actual birth which is a bit odd, as the community midwives are from a different hospital. I need to phone and see if I can move my midwife appointments really as it's a bit silly.0

I have only seen my GP twice (once to tell her I was pregnant, and then she refered me to a midwife) and (once when I was feeling very stressed and needed to talk to someone). Other than that its all been midwife and consultant.
Thanks mintedby30? for the advice on restless legs. After yet another sleepless night last night (I think I got about an hour) I am willing to give anything a go, so much appreciated, thanks

how weird? maybe i need to call them and ask as i am not sure now. i did wonder what the GP would say to me? prefer seeing a midwife but in Croydon she put that down on my notes that after the 20 week scan i see the GP and then at 28 weeks the midwife.Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
