Snowbean, re not being able to picture having a baby in your arms at the end of all this, Im exactly the same. Even feeling all the movements and telling myself over and over again 'there are babies in there' in disbelief, I just cant imagine having them in my arms :o

Ikkle, that is one seriously cute kitty!

I remember a while ago, someone ordered a book from amazon about moneysaving while having a baby (or something like that, brains turned to mush). What was the verdict?

Had family over yesterday for lunch and drinks, they eventually left about 8pm, was a very long tiring day. Feel exhausted today. Got up at 8 and could have quite easily gone back to bed at 10am despite sleeping all night long

Hope all is well with kitten and rjh

i am so annoyed and it could be due to my hormones but can i please rant?

I have been having comments off people and its annoying the hell out of me. last week this Iraqi guy came up to me and was chatting to me about pregnancies and he said his brother was born at around 27 weeks or something and how tiny he was etc etc. I was thinking is he scaring me? then he went on to say how you can still abort a foetus at 24 weeks. I was actually gobsmacked. Today the same guy told me I am ballooning, and I just said so what? was quite defensive!

Now the guy who sorts out the aircon asked me if I have more than 1 in me! i told him how rude! I am so annoyed. Really annoyed. Don’t people have something nice to say?

Aww he's a cutie! We've got an elderly cantankerous three legged cat, who has the two dogs utterly terrified of her!

Cat over the road refuses to use the front door - it climbs up the outside render of the house and insists on its owner letting it in the bedroom window - even if the owner's going IN the front door - the cat refuses to go in with him and waits till he goes upstairs and opens the window to let him in. It would be cute - but the owner has the flaming workmen yobs from hell in at the moment and they're driving me nuts - especially the smarmy one who thinks he looks like Peter Andre! (Yeah, a balding, non-six-packed Peter Andre)

Hi twinkle I have spoken to my son's diabetic nurse and consultent and they both say i dont need the GGT but midwife is still saying i have to, so i am dreading that.
Thanks for all the welcome messages everyone :-)
Having a bit of a lazy day today, struggling to pull myself together i have horrible heartburn and my dreaded morning sickness has returned after having 3 whole weeks sick free :-( xx
hiya, if you're anything like me i test myself regular anyway and am very aware of increased thirst tiredness ect but i've none of that, my consultant said i could have it if i wanted it but he's not insisting and i dont see the need, you can refuse any tests during pregnancy, i'm not saying you should, but you do have that right. just out of curiosity how old is your son and what regime is he on (pm me if you'd rather):D
    Skint, but happy (ish):p

People tend to chat utterly random stuff in an attempt to be nice and it often comes out totally garbage. But with the preemie stuff - I'm never going to NOT mention that my girl came out early - I refuse to be ashamed of her in that respect, hell, when she gets to school and they do that topic they all tend to do where they want baby photos sent in - her first ones are covered in wires and in an incubator, and we don't have nice cards from the cot in the delivery suite - we've got a teeny tiny blood pressure cuff as our first "memento" - I'm not going to be ashamed and hide it away from her... they're part of her story and the photos of her in NICU are on our digital photoframe the same as all the others.

I look forward to Christmas where the Blessed Earth Mother Extraordinaire (AKA my witch of a cousin who has so little self worth that she resorts to running down the parenting of those who haven't even given birth yet in an attempt to score mummy points - and she's a pretty diabolical one herself to be honest) is bound to sit and run her gob off trying some kind of competitive birth/milestone session and is bound to say something totally insensitive about E's prematurity (probably something blaming my lifestyle for it - this from the woman who smokes like a chimney and feeds her toddler and herself salt-jammed crud from the freezer shop)... and I will let rip - I sat and took the "you're a crap mummy cos you don't sit and read Take A Break to your bump" last year, I sat and took the parenting and birth lectures last year... this year - the gloves are off.

i am starting to lose it. A girl noticed i was fuming and she asked so i told her. then she said i was just taking it too personally. oh well wait till they get there! i am not going to hold back now. yes they mean well but really, is that all you can say? 'are you sure there are not 2 in there?' if there were, wouldnt i already say it??? idiots! sorry. it just got me! yeah i may look bigger than 23 weeks but just shut up you know? I am not that tall anyway and even the sonographer at the scan said that i may look bigger because i am shorter and gravity pulls downwards. aghhh. sorry will be ok later. just annoyed. cant win if you are small and cant win if you are big.

Don't worry rups. I think everyone gets comments, and usually they are not meant to be offensive. It's sometimes more that you can't really talk to a pregnant person and just not acknowledge their pregnancy, so sometimes people try to be polite and show an interest and it just comes out wrongly.

Being short DOES make your bump look bigger - you can only go outwards, rather than upwards and downwards, so you're bound to look bigger.

Try not to let it get to you x

Could be worse - for the entire last pregnancy I didn't have a bump - I had a peanut shaped belly, only actually looked pregnant in certain tops.
