God cant believe i'm 38 on the list !
Well its not stopped raining here all weekend, i'm glad though as couldnt cope with the heat. I'm not sleeping as it is, so couldnt cope with the heat as well.
Anyone getting achy legs, i've not got swollen legs but they are aching, keep having to rub them with cooling lotion.Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0 -
Snowyz yep, I get aching legs, also get restless legs too! LMM thinkyou are right that it is water retention as i do notice that they don't feel as big at certain times. Will try to put my feet up later!
bellola will let you know when I find a fan! I was thinking of trying to find one that also squirts water out when you want it to (I;m sure I have seen these before and not dreamt that up!) lol
Emsbet big hugs to you; you have been an incredible support to a lot of people here so I just wanted to say thnaks for everything you have done. I also worry now that I am in the last few weeks - I don't want to tempt fate or anything, but I just think I can't really relax until baby is in my arms and I've been told that everything is ok!
As for me, well I have had two breakdowns at work already. Was already stressed before I came in because of last minute changes to a project last Friday which I had to manage and I got wound up and frustrated within ten mins of being in the office. Cue tears in front of lovely HR lady and me telling her I am def finishing this Friday as I'm too tired and hormonal to do this anymore! Think she's notified my boss but he has yet to say anything to megot back to my deska nd then one of the field engineers had a go at me over his timesheet and despite me being very calm and reasonable to begin with he was such an !!!! that i told him I wasn;t prepared to have this conversation today and that iw oudl get back to him. After he went, a colleague asked me if I was okay and cue breakdown number two! Told me ages to stop crying and calm down; things like this would not normally get to me, so I know it is cos I am pregnant and the guys i work with were lovely and told me not to worry about it but I still feel like a prize idiot. Got to go and have a client meeting after lunch as well where we are going to get ripped to shreds because Sales failed to do all their tasks properly andnow projects have got to justify it. Really so annoyed and trying to stay very calm

Spray fan for you MMM. Maplins and a few other places sell them too if you wanted to get them in an actual shop rather than online. The tower fan that I got the other day came from B&Q if you wanted a bigger one for the bedroom etc - I can thoroughly recommend it - it's not too noisy and is fairly powerful.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Emsbet, I completely understand you wanting to step back, sometimes I feel like that. I think I've got the MAC on speed dial now. This past week or two I seem to have become super paranoid about movements and if he's ok etc. I've also been on constant knicker watch because I've had lots of wetness down below and lots of Braxtons. Hopefully we are just being paranoid mammys, no doubt I will still see you on the crafty place lol xxYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Think you need a fit to fly note from doctor or midwife and that's it Bikeless xbikeless, remember to check both your own travel insurance for how late they'll let you travel as well as the specific airline's regulations. I'd also make sure to email them beforehand and check if they want a "fit to fly" like Ikkle said or whether your maternity notes will be sufficient. I'm off to France on the (slow) ferry at just over 28 weeks and the ferry company won't take you on the fast ferry if you are over 28 weeks or the slow ferry if you are over 32, and I don't want to get into a battle with the check-in staff. for my ferry trip they've confirmed my notes will be sufficient. Last thing you want is for the airline checkin desk to decide you look more than whatever their limit is pregnant and deny you boarding. Also fit to fly forms are only valid for a certain time after issue, my midwife told me this week of a case she'd had where the lady flew out with a fit to fly and flew back 3 weeks later, but they refused to let her on the plane to come back as it was 3 weeks after the form so she had to find a doctor over there to sign another fit to fly!!
Thank you for that. I know someone on here was travelling with easyjet when they were in their 3rd trimester but can't remember who. I was just wondering if it worked out ok. Easyjet states on their website that you can travel up to 35 weeks without a fit to fly note so I'm just printing that info off and taking it with me. I'm fairly small anyway so hopefully should be ok.
Good luck Ferrety!
Congrats Griggsy :T sending you some speedy recovery vibes!
Thanks for the update Ikkle - and congrats to Vic - hope they're doing well.
Emsbet - I understand if you'd prefer not to post for now but just remember that we're here to support you too!:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -

top tip I discovered accidentally on the last time we had a REALLY hot summer 7 or 8 years ago when OH and I lived in a tiny sweat box of a flat with windows that didn't open properly....
Fill an empty spray bottle with water, sit on the floor in your pants in front of a big fan and spray the water into the fan. A lovely cooling mist will be blown back on you. we sat like this for hours taking it in turns to be the "sprayer" :rotfl:

Yep - I've got a tiny spray bottle and a hand-held fan to take in my hospital bag for Moon to use on me when I'm hot.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hi All,
Emsbet, do what ever is best for you but we are here when you get anxious or worried.
I had my scan and midwife appointment today. Mini_cub has gone from the 50th percentile to over 97 in 2 weeks. Her bowl and tummy are unusually large with more fluid than they would like.
I am going back in tomorrow to have tests and another GTT just to rule things out but understandably a little worried about it all. Also have another scan next week to see how she is doing and get the results back.
Glad with the break in the weather people are sleeping more, long may it last.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Hi All,
Congratulations Griggsy, I hope everything's going well for you, and I hope that Vic's baby is doing as well as can be expected - I'm not part of the fb group (for absolutely no good reason...) so can we be kept updated please?
Emsbet, I second what savage said - you're a pillar of support for everyone else, you're entitled to some too. We're always here to chat to if you need, and I hope you're feeling ok.
Kitten, what have they said about it? Are they worried, or just doing a GTT to rule it out? I hope everything's ok.
I feel really sick today, like morning sickness has made a return, I'm not enjoying itDh thinks I should go home from work but I won't feel any better there so I'm not sure it's worth it.
Bikeless, I think it was me talking about flying with Easyjet in my third trimester - I'm going a week on Sunday, so we'll see how they handle it! I was just planning on printing out the guidance from their website and taking my pregnancy notes - and I will kick up an ENORMOUS fuss if they start quibbling given that this is the advice they're giving.
Ugh. I'm 25+4 and I've had enough of work. Still got 10 weeks to go
ETA: Also, WHEN did I get into the 50s?! I hovered around the 70s forEVER, raced through the 60s in about a week and I'm now at about 58! How did that happen?!0
