I know we don't normally announce other peoples births on here and let them do it themselves but I am sure there are lots of people on here waiting for news.

Vic's baby boy was born by emergency c-section at 4:41am today weighing 1.5lb.

Is DD excited about starting school? Just think if your waters go in the shop shop you might get free shoes for life ;) or a cleaning bill :o

Me and Oh were talking about this the other day, I said if I could choose a shop for my waters to go in it would be a supermarket in the hope we got vouchers or something which would pay for food and nappies for a little while. He said he hoped they went in Game so he could get a new console and games or a BMX shop so he could get loads of bmx parts lol.

And I wasn't playing with his face lol just putting my finger under his chin and shutting his gob for him lol x

Congrats Griggsy, she is so gorgeous and love the name!

MMM I also need a fan for my bag. But can't find any. Could you post when you get one where it's from? Thanks!

I hope Vic's little boy does well, the next few weeks will be very tough for her no doubt. Fingers crossed.

    Morning all!

Congratulations again Griggsy - seen the pictures on facebook and she's gorgeous!

Congratulations and fingers crossed to Vic_rich on the birth of her very tiny baby boy - will be keeping you all in my thoughts, and hoping he grows nice and quickly for you.

Thanks for doing the list LMM - wow I'm half-way through the twenties now and I only joined them a couple of days ago! Exciting though! :)

Spoke to my Mum the other day and she thinks the reason I came early (37 weeks) is because she had a fall the day before when she slipped on tiles in her bathroom. I have a feeling that if anything Bean will be late, as I think when they brought the due date forward at the scan that it wasn't as accurate as my dates as I knew when I ovulated etc. My Mum went on holiday this weekend for a week, and was worried I may have him whilst she was away (at 35 weeks, that's quite early though). I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that he arrives when MIL is on her holiday from the 24th September - 28th.

Had my first cup of raspberry leaf tea this morning. After reading a few reports that it tastes vile, I was a bit worried, but to be honest, it just tasted like any old fruit tea - slightly perfumey and not unpleasant (Moon tried it and said it was quite pleasant too). I got the Clipper ones from Tesco in the end. Haven't felt any side-effects from them yet, but not sure how instantly they're meant to work anyway. I've heard they're meant to give you Braxton Hicks to help tone our uterus, but having never had these, I'm not sure what they're meant to feel like.

Got to go to Sainsbugs later today (will go when I get hot again as it's nice to cool down in the chiller aisles lol) to get a few bits I couldn't get at Tesco yesterday. We did really well with the money off vouchers yesterday though, as I had a £3 off when you spend £20 at Sainbugs that they accepted as well as the same deal with £2 for Tesco and a 30p off Frijj milkshakes voucher, and these were already buy 2 for £1.50 :)

Well I've waffled enough again, so I'd better go and get dressed.

Hugs to all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.

    Morning all,

My internet is now up at working again, for now anyway!

I've made a decision though that I am going to mostly lurk between now and baby boy's arrival as I am getting more and more anxious that something will go wrong these last few weeks. I know I have no real reason to worry but it has been playing on my mind an awful lot, which is why I haven't posted as much the last few months.

I'm finding myself getting increasingly stressed and I don't think I'm able to offer proper support to others on here. I will continue reading and I will do the list in the morning (internet allowing ;)) but I don't think I will be posting much. I hope you all understand (I know this message is a bit garbled but I'm finding it difficult to put into words exactly what's going on in my head at the moment)

    xx

Big hugs emsbet - I'm sure that everything will be fine with your little boy but completely understand why you're anxious. xx

    Morning all :)

The heat seems to have broken here overnight, thank goodness. I hate hot weather, felt sticky and cross all day yesterday, poor DH got it in the neck (repeatedly!) for not very much! :o

Congratulations Griggsy, little girl looks beautiful on FB :) Also congratulations to Vic, fingers crossed for little Jack.

    :rotfl:here's hoping!
Just realised my mother is going to absolutely freak out when I go into labour. She's in another country anyway and for reasons I won't go into here I have to check in with her daily or she worries like mad. So if I suddenly go silent she'll assume that I'm in labour and start freaking out. Sigh.
