Hope all goes ok for vic, know she wont see this post but Im thinking about her xx
Littlemoog, I was discussing blackout blinds with DH and we've decided not to have them for now. Will see how babies are without them. Simple reason being, his mum blacked out the room for him when he was a baby and now he cant sleep with even the tiniest sliver of light in the room! I on the other hand, didnt have a blacked out room and can sleep through anything. His mum was the same with noises, everything was said in a whisper and no tv/radio/hoover allowed. Again, my mum was the opposite, hoovered around me and I usually didnt hear a thing! I may change my mind in a few months though :rotfl:
Divorcingjack, hope all goes smoothly this afternoon and you will soon be having baby cuddles
Twinklie, glad all went well with the consultant, you sound one happy lady :T
I!!!!!!!!!!! - congrats!
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Spent a few hours at the eye clinic yesterday to be told they cant see a reason for the blind spot at all. Had photos taken of the back of my eye too. Said to go back in 3/4 weeks for a field vision test and hopefully it will have gone by then.
Its my birthday today and I plan to have the laziest birthday ever :rotfl:. Dont know if DH plans to take me out for tea, nothings been mentioned so probably not!:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Afternoon all!

Candy cane good luck for your appointment
Emsbet hope your midwife went well.
Kitten thanks for the article. Something from sky news was posted by a friend on Facebook. Seems some people were putting the bumbos on a table etc and leaving baby to topple out hence the injuries. Apparently they're going to give a strap to hold the baby in. Not sure if they'll be available in the UK. But the recall as I understand and Savage said is in the uk.
Went to the hospital for the rheumatologist. She's happy on that front, asked her about the worries of the obstetrician with my CTD and she said she's not at all worried. So feel a lot more relaxed, will relay this to the obs dr next Tuesday, but I still doubt he'll put me out of the high risk category. She also looked at my hands and agreed carpel tunnel. Jabbed my right hand with steroid, she doesn't mess about. As it can make the arm sore (she was right!) she said if I want I can pop back next Thursday and she'll jab the left one. Popped into physio and my splints were ready. So I'm wearing them too. Fingers still very painful and not moving but hopefully the steroid will kick in soon
Was having a snooze when OH went on lunch and phoned. He bent down and ripped his trousers, so I thought maybe just the seam and were mendable. But nope the sem and half the bum cheek are ripped! Good job he wears boxers otherwise they'd be a lot of flesh on show!:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

The stupidity of people who would put a wobbly sitting child on a flipping table - bumbo or no bumbo - makes my mind boggle. Mind you - last time I was on the maternity ward we had this woman in who had about 5 kids or something already - and the staff were all having to remind her that she had to actually FEED the baby!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Vic - I know you can't read it, but thinking of you and fingers crossed for you and baby. Glad you have been able to get some help and advice from those that have been through it all before.
LMM - hope the jabs help your hands and the soreness goes soon. At least you know what's going on now.
Candycane and Elelyn - hope your babies don't come until you are ready for them!
Happy Birthday cake4brains hope you have a lovely day and loads of nice pressies
Congratulations i luv freebies
Divorcingjack hope baby is here very soon for you.
tesco order - I got the cancellation email yesterday, but it is still sat in my tesco account as 'created', so I wonder if your cancellation email went astray mishka?
Been to the hospital this morning for my second lot of monitoring. One MW was happy and the other wasn't because they couldn't get baby to move much. In the end they kept monitoring for longer then agreed it was ok and I could go home. I'll be back in on Monday for the next one. They found protein in my urine so that's being sent away to check. I don't have any pain when going to the toilet or anything, so I don't think I have an infection. I guess I'll find out Monday.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

Which type of splints did you get? The ones made from material like wetsuits or ones with metal plates in? xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
