Just in case you don't see it on facebook hun, best wishes for the hospital today moneypuddle.

Going out to dinner tonight for my Dad's birthday - it's going to be late though (8.30pm) cos my Mum has to go and tuck my Nana in at her nursing home, so will probably have to eat a small snack around 6pm to keep me going. Talking of that, the meal times in our hospital are really odd - 8am, 12pm & 5pm - I'll be starving if I eat at 5pm if I'm there at that time! Luckily they have a kitchen (although no microwave) where you can make hot drinks etc and there is a toaster, so thinking of packing cuppasoups in our snack bag if we happen to be there after dinner time. Was also thinking of making some sandwiches and sticking them in the freezer so they can just be pulled out at the appropriate time and will have defrosted (hopefully) by the time we need them just in case we miss dinner. Anyone else's hospital have strange mealtimes?

Well I'm off to get some breakfast as I've been distracted online.

Good luck to anyone with hospital appointments today, hugs where needed, and labour vibes for those who want them.

Sorry I haven't read back anymore, I was out all day yesterday and then I intended to read this morning but I got up to discover our boiler is leaking and ll the towels in the airing cupboard are soaked through. DH has called a plumber so hopefully he's going to come round. Also got the mw coming to the house this morning sometime between 9 and 12. Hopefully they won't both be here at the same time.

Weather a bit less rainy here today so gonna take dd swimming. Hopefully the stress of getting us both ready and changed as showered after it all will bring baby out of hiding! Lol.

Morning all

Hope everyone's doing ok today. I'm knackered as we were building flatpacks last night until about 11pm.

DH is really annoying when flatpacking, as he doesn't read the instructions properly, spends ages trying to do something the wrong way and getting cross about it not working, and then shouts at me when I point out that he's doing it wrong We didn't manage to finish the wardrobe as spent half an hour trying to put the back on wrong! There was a groove in the back that needed to slide into the sides, but DH was just trying to jam it in! Silly man! :rotfl:

Think I'll build the storage units when I get in from work tonight so they're all done when he gets home, and all we have left to do is attach the doors to the wardrobe :cool: Then I can send him in the loft to get my Poang chair down!

John Lewis order placed last night, cot coming next Friday evening The other bits (mattress, changing mat and waterproof sheets) are coming this saturday though. Only one thing left to get for the nursery, a blackout blind for the window. I've found a website that makes them to order so we don't have to do any adjusting, so going to order that tonight. Hopefully the whole room will be finished by the end of bank holiday weekend:j

LMM thanks hun, no not worried about anything, just finding that I am waking up around 1am to go for a wee most nights. Yesterday, I got back to sleep without any problems but today I was just too awake. Then I get conscious of the fact that I am moving around trying to get comfy and I don't want to wake OH up! So came downstairs and got on the sofa; put lovefilm instant on the laptop and started watching '24'. This usually helps me drop back off but not today! Fell asleep around 5am for an hour but that's it! AH well, have told my boss I am working from home today so at least I can rest up. Feel pants but it's only cos I am knackered. Happy 36 weeks to you! hope you are getting plenty of rest?

Little Moog your OH sounds like mine; very impatient so doesn't bother to check how things should be done just gets on with it! Mine has complained about the 'botch' jobs that have been done in my house previously, and then proceeding to cut down the plinths in my new kitchen after laying down wooden flooring only to find that he did it wrong and has now had to 'bodge' it to make it look right! He's dripped paint all over the place as well and then moans about having to re-do stuff but it's only cos he is trying to rush it in the first place! If he just took his time it would actually take less time overall to do! men!

Crikey, we now have 6 boldies! Fingers crossed for some happy baby news soon.

Little Moog you're so much more organised than me, our nursery is still a dumping ground for clothes and everything else that doesn't have a place. Also a mountain of baby stuff in the middle of the floor, and one of the walls is painted bright pink! I have a feeling we wont get our fingers out and get the room done until I'm practically in labour!

It was raining cats and dogs last night when I was walking home from work, and a wonderful kind lady pulled up and offered me a lift home. Such a lovely thing thing to do and I was truly touched and so grateful! Restores my faith in people.
