I was born at 4 minutes to midnight on the 31st August so was always the youngest in my school year, and the tallest strangely too lol. Had I been born 5 minutes later though I would have been the eldest in the year below which seems very strange.

Oh really! It's weird isn't it. I went to school with 2 girls who were best friends and 1 born on 30th August and the other on 1st Sept. So just as 1 celebrated her birthday, the other had to wait almost a whole year to get to the same age. As I have a feeling baby will be early I'm sure I'll be in hospital on 31st with my legs crossed! Lol.
  • Thanks for the replies everyone, and the birthday wishes!

Was looking on kiddicare at the car seats and then when I went on ebay afterwards there were lots of adverts for them on there. Had a quick look and was amazed there are so many car seats when I thought people wouldnt buy then 2nd hand.

They're a good price on kiddicare anyway so will probably get them from them, just wondered what the general consensus was about 2nd hand.

Another quick question if you dont mind :o, how good are birth - 4yr car seats if anyone knows? I know newborns are suppsed to lie flat and these dont look as if they do that? Im assuming they would have to, being suitable from birth? I suppose they would take up lots of room laid flat in the car as they are quite big? Ok, I know that was more than 1 question :rotfl:

Kitty, Im so sorry to hear about your cat. I have 2 and have that awful sinking feeling in my stomach when they are late home or stay out overnight. I absolutely dread anything happening to them, like you say, they are our babies :(

Also had I been born on the 1st my mother wouldn't be with my step dad and I wouldn't have my little brother. As she went on a night out after taking me out for my birthday and met my step dad in town and they began dating.

I also wouldn't share my birthday with the anniversary of Princess Di's death.

My goodness I've never really thought about how different my life could have been if I had been born 5 minutes later.

Car seats don't lay flat hun. That's why they are only recommended for short periods of use around the 2hr mark. They must be rear facing for newborns though. There is a birth to 4 years car seat on Kiddicare that I really want but holding off to see if I get it for my birthday as that's what I've asked for lol x

Depends on your car. I anted a birth to four car seat with my first but then I tried it in my car ad rear facing it wouldn't fit at all. Brutal have a fit finder on their website to identify the ones thy fit. All 0-4 seem to be a similar size.

There is car seats that lay flat. I think britax do a carry cot type one and if I'm not mistaken there is a Jane one that does too.

Cake we got these for the boys.

Haven't used them with the babies but the reviews looked good. We will be using it this time with my mum having the other for her car.

We have a tiny Fiat Panda and it fit in although didn't fit while pregnant due to the extra room I needed for the bump it was fine without bump.

We'll sort of have a used carseat - but since it was used by baby number 1 we know exactly where it's been and how old it is and everything.
