We have the maxi cosi cabriofix seat which then attaches to the Oyster frame. But have had such problems getting the adaptors for the thing. Delivery scheduled today from Kiddicare so then hopefully we will be up and running. Also ordered the Oyster parasol and raincover for te car seat in preparation for the great british weather! Ooh and my Body Shop order is meant to come today, took advantage of the glitch and have a strawberry gift set coming which I will put aside for Xmas and also a cosy towel for the baby.0

Thanks in advance.
I think most shops are sneaky with the cots and mattresses as they all have different sizes. So if you buy the cotbed from M&P the only mattresses that fit are also from M&P. I know we had to get all our stuff, cotbed, mattress and sheets etc from Babies R Us because of the sizes. Can't help with what you should be looking for though, we just got one that was half price because it was a good deal!0 -

I thought there was a standard size for cots/cotbeds? Cots are all 120*60 cm, and cotbeds 140*70cm? I've not looked at babies R us though, so they may be different!
My sister got a Silentnight cot mattress from Argos for a really good price. We've ordered ours from John Lewis, because we were able to look at them when we were in store so picked the one we were getting then. M&P, Mothercare etc all have their own ranges as wellLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
I would say they both work and the e is just for marketing monitoring purposes to distinguish who read the email and who looks online for discounts lollove you lots like jelly tots0

Kittycat so sorry to hear about your cat hun, big hugs. I have two of my own and I always worry about them even thoguh we are not especially near a main road or anything. I love animals in general and I always get upset when I hear about anything happening to them - I will flick through the paper thinking how boring it is but then stop at the tiny paragraph where they are reporting about a cat stuck in a tree for four days or a dog falling down a cliff.
Slept a bit better last night although I did have to go for a wee about four times in all. In work today but planning to go at lunchtime - still tired and feeling a bit rubbish so want to go home and rest some more. Have really just come in to get some docs ready for some works that start Monday, then I guess the deaprtment will just have to cope without me! I'm always worrying about what's going to happen when I have time off - think i just have to accept that if things don't get done the way that I want it's just tough and thwey will find a way to get through! Sorry, that sounded bigheaded, didn't quite mean it like that!
Can't remember who said that they have been having pelvic pain and have just seen theier midwife who said the head was engaged? i hope this is the same reason as to why i have been getting it over the past couple of days! Got my midwife appt on Tuesday so will see what she says then (will be 36+6 at that stage).
have also ordered some packs of raspberry leaf tea so will try that when it comes. Someone wrote on here that it is meant to taste awful? I think if you can persevere with it you will get used to the taste; I was like that with green tea to begin with and now it;s my favourite drink. I used to have 5 - 6 cups of it a day before I got pregnant; I bought the decaff stuff when I realised but I went off all drinks very early on and haven't really got back into it yet. I am looking forward to drinking it again soon - ooooh, and goats cheese too! Can't wait to get back into that! Yum!
Labour vibes and hugs to all! x0 -
Mamas and papas are different sizes but if u google the size u need for your cot - should say on m and p website- there are some companies who make them independently a bit cheaperlove you lots like jelly tots0

Ooh really! I had heard different! I know we got some cotbed sheets from Next and they were too small for our mattress. I am not all that clued up though so could be talking rubbish!0 -

I could be wrong! That was just what I thought, from our search for cots (definitely all 120*60cm). Not so sure on cotbeds as I haven't looked that much as we always knew we were getting a cot. Beanie will be going straight into a single bed so number 2 can have the cot when they come along, assuming all goes to planLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Our cot (given to us by a friend) was from Mothercare and it's also a standard 120x60. Generally I thought there were standard sizes for beds and things except that IKEA uses different ones, but that's for adult sizes, not sure about kids / babies. Does this help figure out what size it is? http://www.mamasandpapas.com/cat/mattress-shop-by-size/
If it's a cot, the baby isn't that heavy yet and I don't think you need the pocket sprung stuff. For a cotbed as baby will be in it longer I'd consider it. We're getting an organic mattress made though as I'd like to avoid the funny chemicals they lob in mattresses to make them fireproof although I think they've removed most of those from baby mattresses now anyway (you'd hope!) so ours will be coir / latex / wool, no springs.0
