close enough, I'm in Barry!
I know people posted this car seat the past few days
http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_147939_10001
am I being thick or does it come with the base?0 -
I've got a maternity top, dress and jeans, all of which I bought a few weeks ago. Having said that, I'm wearing cropped trousers today being held up by a hairband with my maternity top over it
At the moment I'm mostly surviving wearing stretchy long vest tops with a jacket or cardigan type thing over it (clearly not done up!). I'm reluctant to buy any more maternity clothing because it's going to be cold when I get really big so I'll try and get some stretchy knitwear then.
Kitten, we have that car seat too but in blue. We looked at the travel systems but they're quite expensive and the car seat only lasts for about 6 months so you end up spending more further down the line on a new car seat. This one should do us until baby is 4, at which point DSS will almost certainly be out of his booster seat so we can shuffle everyone up one!
We're planning on getting the M&P Sola pushchair with the flat carrycot attachment. You can get a decent mattress for the carrycot, so we'll use that on the chassis and in the house as a moses basket substitute while wriggler is still in with us then move her directly to the cot.0 -
Tattoo you should those two out. H an m have maternity too but it's quite expensive. I just used it for plain best tops to wear under tops.
I found layering invaluable. New look Cardiff have a great sale on ATM
So might be worth picking some
Stuff up. There's also a mamas an papas factory shop at bridged designer outlet
Re the car seat it doesn't have a base to po pin and out it's jut bulky bottomlove you lots like jelly tots0 -
it's amazing, as soon as you add the word baby or wedding to something the price goes through the roof! I'm thinking of having a Amby hammock so will just need the chest of draws/changing table and wardrobe. Will probaby just go to ikea as suggested.
I looked in the local peacocks and they have black maternity thousers so will just get them, at least I can try them on in the shop, we have a Dorothy Perkins and a New Look but they don't stock maternity clothes, I would have to try them on and I don't think I will have enough time to send them back
I also need some maternity jeans and some new bras, my tops at the moment will do a little while longer
I have 2 pairs of maternity jeans (1 over bump and 1 under bump) from M&P and an overbump pair from Debenhams. The M&P ones are far superior, I don't wear the Debenhams ones anymore as they're so uncomfortable in comparison. I love the fact that the over bump M&P ones have the same elastic & buttons adjusters as teh under bump ones, as it means they stay up (unlike Debenhams ones!) Plus the denim is nice quality. I ordered my normal size (16) and TBH they're a bit big, but I've found that will all maternity wear. Size 14s are a bit small thoughLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
We have looked in H&M and I didn't like any of the maternity clothes, I said to the hubby about going to the bridgend outlet but It's just finding the time to go there, guess I will have to make some time lol
I finally managed to open the product video for the car seat but we have a 3 door car and it might be a bit akward, hubby thinks we should get a new car0 -

I've seen a pair of M&P ones I like, I will see if the local store has them0 -

I had some M&Ps maternity jeans and I too vouch for their quality. You're right that the sizes come up big though. I'm usually a 12, but the 10 fitted me."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
That dress I posted about earlier in the week arrived yesterday, and I'm going to have to send it back
It doesn’t fit over my boobs, and also the cream part is so see through that you can see my stretchmarks through it  They’re not even very dark yet, so lord knows how it would look when I’m 36 weeks! :rotfl: Thought it was worth mentioning them again though as they have an actual shop near Canterbury http://www.allninematernityandbaby.co.uk/about-us-1-w.asp If anyone’s near there it might be worth a look as it’s so rare to find a specialist maternity shop where you can actually go and try things on. Think it was bad luck with the dress I chose.
My dress search continues though, any suggestions on good makes? I don’t mind spending up to about £80 as it’s DH’s Dad’s wedding which I would have bought a new dress for anyway. I can always sell it on afterwardsLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
I wonder if the M&P sizes come up big to make us feel better during pregnancy :rotfl:0
