Baby school tonight for me. I think it's breast feeding tonight. Then I'm free until Wednesday when I have a consultant appointment. I'm really looking forward to my appointment on Wednesday though because I'm hoping to get a few more answers about what I'm allowed for birth options.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Got the car back this afternoon, and it was £130 to fix. Not great, but could have been a lot worse, and we just had enough money to cover it. But we can't afford for anything else to go wrong between now and October, so hoping the car behaves now.
There seem to be loads of people studying on here. How hard have you found studying and being pregnant? I'm supposed to be starting college at 36 weeks pregnant but I can't decide if it'd be better to postpone for a year or just get on with it. I'd only be allowed to miss two weeks when baby is born, but as the course is evenings DH should be around. I think it'll be quite hard, but I don't like the thought of waiting a whole year to get started. Aargh, I can't make my mind up!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
I'm finishing my dissertation for my masters. I've found it impossible. I've ended up getting an extension. I just haven't been able to cope - too tired and too much brain fog.
For instance, I asked my DH if he thought my friend Lucy would bring Alan (her partner) to the wedding on Saturday. To which he replied, erm, you'd hope so given it's them getting married. Doh!
I guess it's a personal decision. You might like the me time it gives you to get away from baby. I don't think I'd do it to myself personally though. Would just be too much for me.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I did my dental nurse course hole pregnant with my fort but I was working full time and it was one night a week. Was exhausting to be honest.
I was doing full time Uni this one around and couldn't wait for it to be over. When I was I maternity leave with first one I thought I would have plenty of one to revise and do work for my postponed exam. Not the case. It was difficult but then my oh wasn't supportive.
What are you planning on studying hunlove you lots like jelly tots0 -
Thank you LMM. I hope you manage to get your nap still!
KatyLiz - re:studying - I go through phases. I've been (mostly) fine until last week to be honest. But then, I hadn't virtually bought anything so I think my 'inability to study' is really a panic to get things done on time for baby's arrival. I find it tiring but I try to break it down into smaller chunks but I know I won't get everything done by the time baby is born. I'm just trying to get as much done now so there's less to do later. I think only you can decide whether to postpone it or not as it'd depend on the course, how much work you'd need to do outside college hours and your personal circumstances. Personally, I don't like postponing anything but I'm aware that I'm going to be very sleep deprived when baby is born. How were you in previously?(I'm pretty sure this is not your first one?).:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
I will reply properly to everyone, but as people know on here, I did the placement part of my PGCE from 0-27 weeks pregnant. The theory side of my course had basically been done, but I was teaching a practical subject and the travelling, plus the fact it was full time nearly killed me! Having only just found out at 38 weeks pregnant I'm anaemic (and teaching on a unit about diet!) I think it's possible, but definitely hard work. However, this is our first, if you postpone for a year, will it be easier with a one year old? I'd be inclined to say do it now rather than defer a year, but then I'm also the one who scared people by having a nursery sorted as I'll be working one day a week an hours drive away from baby being 10 weeks - if he is on time!
Though writing schemes of work today have distracted me from my back pain, I don't think I could do a full time course now, or not for long anyway! I did manage to teach dance up until 34 weeks though and did enjoy it. I guess it's each to their own, I know hubby, who is a mature student and dyslexic, finds it a lot harder to study and is worried about going into final year with our little bubs, whereas as twinklie says, I'd prob enjoy the me time (and am considering a part time masters once baby is one if all is going well and we have funds?!)
good luck xx

Thanks everyone for your opinions/experiences.
rjh I'm only going to be doing access to higher education which in terms of academic level should be really easy as I've always been a high achiever. I've been to uni previously but had to quit for personal reasons, although I had no trouble with the work. It's now been too long a gap since my last completed study for me to apply to return to uni without taking a college course.
So in one way I know the work level won't be a problem, but all work still has to be completed, and I don't know if I'll find the time.
Bikeless you're right, I have two kids already. If this baby is like my daughter it'd be hell on earth to study as she fed hourly for 4 months where she was poorly and tiny, and I was like a zombie. Yet my son was an easy baby who slept well and fed 5 hourly from 3 weeks. I think the problem for me is not being able to predict what will happen. I suppose if the monitoring and scans over the next couple of weeks keep pointing to a tiny baby again I might have to let that decide that it'll be a no.
At the same time I'm terrified of being left with nothing to do and no socialising or leaving the house. When I had my kids I lived near friends with babies so that was never an issue. Here I have no friends and no way of getting out, so if if I don't do the course I could end up stuck in the house for months.
I'm going to give myself another couple of weeks to decide, just hope I can eventually come to a decision.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -
