Freddie's 5 weeks old and we just use the bath. I couldn't be bothered with an enormous piece of plastic (if I stuff the house full of any more baby stuff it will burst).
The bath's fine although it seems a lot of water for a very small person"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Welcome to the newbies
I seem to have missed a few joining over the last couple of days. In fact I think my laptop might be playing up (or the site), as I can see loads of posts from the last 24hours that weren't showing when I last popped on. Sorry if I've missed anything important.
Gemma - Hope everything starts to happen more quickly. The waiting must be driving you crazy.
MMM - that must be strange having given away so much of your stuff, that's lovely that you wanted your OH to feel like it was his house too though. My DH is terrible for finishing one thing before he goes onto the next, so I feel your frustration there. He's got out of his do nothing mode, but ended up in finish nothing mode instead lol!
Twinklie it sounds like you're really enjoying being with your DH, glad the MW appointment went well.
dizzi - good luck with the pregnancy.
I seem to be hitting the really tired phase early. 32 weeks now and I've spent the whole afternoon asleep on the couch.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

I'm the complete opposite. Think I've had about 9 hours sleep since Monday. Don't feel tired anymore think I'm on auto pilot. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I'm tired all the time ikkle, but think its multiple causes: 1) my iron levels were slightly low, 2) I'm not sleeping properly at night as I'm too hot, and also because the Polish people opposite work nights and aren't quiet when they come home at 4ish in the morning either.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I know you all know this already... but please try to rest as much as you can before your baby's born. I'm a bit of an insomniac and thought I'd be prepared for sleepless nights and feeling tired but nothing prepares you for the first few days.
I had no sleep on the Wednesday or Thursday night before Freddie was born on Friday morning, plus I lost quite a bit of blood during the c-section and ate very little for 2 or 3 days. I can't begin to describe how tired I felt for the first two weeks of Freddie's life. I would literally fall asleep standing with my eyes open. It was hazardous at times if I was holding the baby

I agree totally fluffnutter. It's even harder to get the sleep if you have a small baby, as their tummies are smaller and they feed more often. That makes sleeping and even daytime napping really difficult. However much people warn you though I don't think anything can prepare you for actually having baby!!
Glad you're a bit less worried mishka.Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800
