I got the summer right height bath this time as our bathroom
Is very awkward and I have a bad back. I'm hoping it will help. Got it on eBay for £25. Sunnier can ten be used separate too. I had a foam sponge with first but our big bath was so big was costing a fortune to get any kind of water level in it so got a baby bath instead. U will find them pretty cheap at car boots etc as they so big people just war rid of them sometimeslove you lots like jelly tots0 -
we talked about this last night, we had a changing table with a bath underneath the changing mat and only used it twice - was such a chore to fill and empty,
We had a metal framed support that they lay on in a normal bath which was really handy when they were 6 months ish but before that I think i may invest in a baby tub.Bow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
With baby baths - we have a borrowed one - and we use it. Don't bother ferrying it in and out of the bathroom or anything - we just use it inside the bath to reduce the size of it... especially since little miss likes her water quite deep (she was hilarious as a 4lb preemie the size of a doll all splatted out like a starfish floating - with support obviously - with a look of sheer bliss on her face) it would cost us a bomb to fill the full bath to the level she likes!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Our baby bath was £3 from morrisons just after their baby event. We got a foam bath support for £3 from home bargains. Our bath isn't practical for putting baby in xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Congratulations MrsExcited. Hope your enjoying your mummy cuddles and looking forward to your birth story.
Bikelesschick we dont have a bath just a shower so we picked up a baby bath from Ikea for about £5. It doesn't have a plug thing in it but then we figured we are going to have to lift it anyway with or without the plug in the bottom. We looked at quite a few of the baths around and found some were quite flimsy so to speak (well DH decided they were). Like Ikkle we tried to get the morrisons one but alas they were all gone
Kitten_pie I was thinking the exact same thing re Rups
Well I've been getting some pain still ripping through my stomach but I'm still not in labour. Since the sweep on Wednesay I've slowly been losing the plug - well I think it is any way from what I understand it to be. TMI it looks like clear/cloudy phlegm (sp) mixed with blood (not bright red though more browny). It seems to be little bits every day which is a bit of a pain as I thought it would all just come away in one go. Mind you DH did ask if I kept it when I told him that some had come out - think he felt a bit left out that he didn't get to see it :rotfl:
Decided to make up her cot today despite the fact that she wont be sleeping in it per se. She will go in her moses basket which will then be put in her cot just to get her used to it so I'm just going to put a sheet and blanket down in the cot to make it look a bit nicer than a bare mattress still in its plastic packaging.
Re Cats: Not sure if I've mentioned this but if I have then I'll pretend its for the newbies and its not baby brain. I have a very nervous cat who is very clingy and will no doubt be put out when baby girl arrives. To help with this I spoke to my vet who suggested a couple of things. One is a herbal medication which they can give them which is based on a milk product. Scientists have found that warm milk has the same effect on the receptors in the brain as valium so the vet has suggested this tablet for my cat to help to keep him calm. I think its an oil based thing as he said you can pour it over food. Not got it yet but going to try and get some on Monday.
Someone was asking about keeping cats out of the cot - we've got the clipper safe cot bed net which was £14 at amazon but mines just wants to go under the cot rather than in it!
Labour vibes to those who want them0 -
We borrowed a baby bath last time, and never used it. When she was really small we used the sink and then either a support in the bath or got in with her.Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0

My cat hasn't even been coming upstairs since he felt my bump move when he was sleeping on it, so I'm not worried my cat will come up to see the baby at all. In fact if we've ever had any children around here at all, even if they aren't crying, he runs outside and hides. I'm more worried about him running away!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
