Apparently this is normal but with the breastfeeding being a nightmare and only just sorting now it means we havent workef on sleeping. The first 6-8 weeks really is survival. Go into it not expecting to sleep or stop feeding!!Do not expect routines of any sort it just wont happen.

I brought a mloby wrap but vcant use til she is 8lb. Right now she is 6.2!!

We used a moses basket, worked really well for us especially 2nd time round as it meant I could take baby with me around the house even if he was asleep. (not having to worry about him stirring or having things stuffed up his nose by his brother )

We also had them in a travel cot in the living room as it worked for us for various reasons, we would put him across the cot and towards one end though so they were hemmed in on 3 sides.

    AFM,

have another scan tomorrow :j cant wait :j:j

Ooh thanks for that link emsbet - all the slings I'd been finding were very expensive, so this may save a bit of money. May ask for one for a pressie when people ask us if we want something specific.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

We only have a Moses basket cos we have no room for cot in room at the minute. If they never been in Moses basket they won't know any different.
love you lots like jelly tots :o

My DD hated lying in her moses basket while awake. She seemed to be bored staring at the ceiling LOL. My bouncer and gym were a life saver. Especially the bouncer. She would be whinging in the moses basket and as soon as I put her in the boucer she would be happy as larry, looking around.

This was from a few days old.

She also slept much better/longer at night in bed beside me.

Has there been some big change in what's in beef that I'm not aware of?

    - have a great last day at work.:j:jfor maternity leave

I'm off to the mothercare event later on today. Will have to bring a list of the things that I 'can' buy. Baby shower organiser has asked for my list so she's got pretty much all of it apart from a few bits and bobs.

Not many people have mentioned baby showers. I remember someone mentioned having one (can't remember who) but is anyone else having one?

we bought a moses basket because a cot would take up too much room in our bedroom for the first few months.

Off work sick again, 2nd day today, feel so guility as its just a cold but i really do feel stuffy and horrible. My first days off sick this pregancy though so i suppose ive done ok, really tempted to have the rest of the week off now but hate having days off sick.

Hope everyones feeling well :) looks like its going to be another warm day....

    Morning all

Katyliz - hope the scan goes well

Rjh - hugs for the contractions stopping and the wind

Cot vs Moses basket - hopefully both babies will be in the cot together in the bedroom straightaway, if they get along with sleeping together that is. We will just be using moses baskets downstairs to start with

Bellola - hope you have a lovely last day at work and they spoil you rotten

Woke up with flashing silver lights in my eyes - as if I'd been staring at a lightbulb. Still got it an hour later. Thats usually how my migraines start but doesnt seem to be doing anything today. Says to contact midwife if that happens as it could be blood pressure but my bp has always been perfect
