Ooh, your comment about the icecream LMM reminded me to say to Rups don't eat the soft-whip gelatos as you're not allowed them in pregnancy - I know that a lot of the ice-cream is of this nature in Italy as this is where it originates, but it can contain listeria, so best avoided.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hi All,
Hope you're ok?
I had a vaginal swab done the other day and have just called up now for my results. They have come back borderline for Group B Haemolytic Streptococcal. What I do but google it and have been to this website: http://www.pregnancy-bliss.co.uk/group_bhaemolyticstrep.html
This has terrified me. Has anyone any experience of it?

Savage, thanks for the info on group B strep. Im torn now, will mention it to the midwife at the next appt and see what she says.
Sure Start Maternity Grant - when I had my 12wk midwife appt she said they had stopped doing this? Would be amazing if we could get it
Aida - so glad your scan went well and welcome to team pink! Re the kicks getting stronger, mine seemed to overnight too. One day I felt flutters, the next major kicks, its an amazing feeling isnt it
Jedi - lots of luck for it all starting naturally
Dizsie - thanks for the info on the mothercare event. Im going to one tomorrow night and was wondering if it would be worth it. Although someone posted a link to a bump support band from there the other day (at least I think it was on here!) so might go just for that with the 10% off
Griggsy - glad the sweep wasnt too uncomfortable. Hope it does the job!
AFM, got a bit of backache so the painting has been postponed for today. Im devastated I really am. So impressed with the swing I collected yesterday that I won on Ebay. Managed to get it for £17 and I am so happy with it. Had a little play when we got it home and had to do a little dance! Now I just need to find another for around the same price :rotfl:

Moneypuddle I think thats what I asked about yesterday. Speak to your midwife but I think they give you antibiotics when you go into labour so it cant be passed to baby. Thats the impression I got, but obviously ask your mw for more info:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

Rather you than me with the ice-cream! I tried it when I went and spat it straight out, I was devastated that I didnt like it after all the hype about italian ice-cream being the best in the world :rotfl::j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -

We were just posting about that a day or two ago. If you get a positive test from around wk 36, you will get an anti-biotic drip during labour, that will be passed on to baby provided anti-biotics are given more than 2-3 hours from delivery I think.0 -
Another thing to avoid Rups is tiramisu (I was devastated when I learnt about this as it's one of my favourite desserts) and chocolate mousse, as they are made with raw eggs so could contain salmonella. Any unpasteurised soft cheeses and cheeses with mould should also be avoided. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hi Bikelesschick, I just give her a tin of Tesco's own meat with a handful of mixer biscuits on an evening and a few treat biscuits for breakfast. She sulks if she doesnt get breakfast! She's pretty good with food really, doesnt go through fads etc
Hope this isnt too big and sorry for hijacking the thread everyone!:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0
