Congratulations on team pink Aida

I've still got 8 and a bit weeks left, but I also don't want to pay out for maternity clothes. I live in old jogging bottoms and stretched t- shirts if I'm staying in the house, and then leggings with a choice of dresses over the top if I'm going out. I've found most of my maternity wear a waste of money, as it tends to fall down or be too tight. Primark leggings in a size 16 (I'm a 12 normally) still fit nicely though, and they are so cheap (£3) I don't feel bad buying loads. My only trouble is I look really silly wearing leggings and dresses with trainers. My trainers are the only thing I can walk in now, and I look such a wally lol!

I wasn't going to get the footstool, but when we were looking at them instore (as may replace cushion) I tried one and it was soooo comfy

Aida, congratulations on team pink! I sometimes wish we'd found out, but I'm looking forward to the surprise at the end now!

Consultant this afternoon, hoping they'll discharge me from their clinic if thyroid has remained steady. Appointments seem totally pointless, could all be done over the phone/in the post as far as I'm concerned!

Need to check that being under their clinic doesn't exclude me from the midwife-led centre as I'd prefer to give birth there if possible. Shouldn't do as it's only for management of my thyroid condition (I think, haven't been told any other reason!)

I was randomly sick for the first time in weeks this morning, and it was really violent. My stomach muscles are killing me, and the burst capillaries are back around my eyes.:eek: Hope this isn't a resurgance of morning sickness.:o

an update because i have nothing better to do.
no contractions yet! eeekkk
they did want me to go in for induction today at 12pm but i have asked for this to be delayed to allow a bit more time for labour to start naturally. apparently 80% of women whose waters break go into labour within 24 hours, well not me grrr
i am going in again at 2pm today to ensure everything is fine with me and baby - if labour doesnt start naturally then i will be induced tomorrow.

it means i will have allowed 48 hours for labour to start on its own which i feel comfortable with although i know there is a risk of infection to baby the longer i leave it but then again i know someone who continued 2 weeks after her waters breaking because they broke at 34 weeks and they wanted baby to mature as much as poss.

i am tired of trying to get things going......

right ok, i think i have it all out.
