In half an hour I have 1 day till my due date and no sign -:(

OH popped to tesco and bought me some mint aero which I've just eaten although I know it was a huge mistake as I'll have heartburn all night even more than normal.

I got uncomfortable in bed so have got up. Sleeping seems to be like eating at the minute. Have to do it little and often. Got lots I want to do today though as the baby clothes are now all washed and ironed (thanks gran!) as are the muslins (there are hundreds!) so I'm going to clear the chest of drawers which currently houses Xmas presents and put it all in there so the wardrobe is clear for outfits when baby arrives. Then at the end of next week I'm hoping hubby will sort the cot and draw so I can put the sheets away. The nursery is just over run with furniture boxes at the mo so need to start putting it all together.

Argh!!! I'm in the 20s.

Hope everyone is well and had a good sleep. I've been a bit quiet the last couple of days. Got family staying so have been lurking and reading when I get a spare moment or two.

Jedi thank you for the info re:induction. Although I feel if it was medically indicated I wouldn't be a fool and decline it at all costs, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who would rather avoid induction and that drs jump in a bit quick. I think either someone has told OH or he has read something somewhere that I might be induced ealy because of my medical probs and that's I'm really struggling with my hips etc. I told that it's not happening as long as baby is fine. He says well they might do it....er not without my say so they're not! So thank you
Mummyoftwo I too will be staying at home for as long as possible. Will have to chat to the consultant next time I see him as I'm 'high risk' for some guidance for this as they may want me in sooner than normal.

AFM here not much to report. Feeties are now mahoosive most of the time even when I'm resting. My hands are also swollen and tingling at times. Although they feel a lot more swollen than they look. Making it harder to walk with my crutches as can be hard to grip things. No more rings on my hand Bubba is mad! Some of the movements are crazy, like a Mexican wave! Some pointy bits it often sticking out but no idea what it is! Got a great video which I may post on our Facebook group for those who haven't seen it on my profile. I know babies sleep so he's not moving all the time, but it really does feel like it! I think I'm going to miss that once he's here.

Got woken by hip pain and can't get comfy, so I'm grumpy. And didn't bring my snacks upstairs last night and there's a man sleeping on my sofa Just taking my aunt and cousin into town later today. We have a Primark so they're excited. Got a couple more bits I need for my hospital bag so will try and get them. Going to Legoland tomorrow. My aunt has vouchers, can't believe how expensive these places are to get in to! :eek:
Her brother and uncle are staying also but are leaving today. But the brother got bubba a golden Wenlock from the Olympics yday. Really sweet also my aunt got bubba a memory box. Haven't seen one I liked anywhere and this one is lovely. She's filled it with lots of baby grows, bibs etc. Bubba is a spoilt boy already!

I'd better stop waffling on! Hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Lots of labour vibes to those who want them and hugs for those having a rough time xxxx

No they didn't know she would be so big. It's her first and her bump was smaller than mine lol.

Argh I'm sooooooo sleepy. Have no idea how I'm gonba make it through today.

Re. Blood pressure - question for u girls. My bp is normally Low 90/40 at resting. But looking at my notes i noticed the bottom has gone up by ten at every appointment so now sitting at 120/80. Now I know this is normal for most people but as the pooh midwife yesterday barely glanced at my notes I wondered if this should be anything to be concerned about

That's still in the ideal range hun sO I wouldn't worry. The fact you were stressed at the midwife etc may have contributed to it being slightly higher than the usual xx

Thanks hun. Is just cos it was such a big jump from my norm and since she didn't even bother to write notes or sign them the chancesof her even reading them was slim lol

Morning all,

Well I'm off to get breakfast, shower and dress, and then I'm off to get the wall stickers for the nursery. Looking forward to putting them up, as it'll really make a difference as I've not put any of the bedding on the cot yet as I want to wash it nearer to the time and don't want it getting dusty.

Was looking online for bikinis or tankinis that I could wear with the swim sarong that I got for a water birth (the ones designed to match didn't fit me), and realised that I have a pink strapless bikini already that matches really well. I'm so pleased to have remembered it as it has saved me a bit of money. Just need to try the top on after I have my shower to check it still fits.

Have also been invited to a Christening on 12th, so struggling to work out what I can wear to that. I've never been to a one before, so not really sure, and my smart wardrobe is extremely limited at the moment. I've found the gifts on ebay (just hope they arrive in time) that are linked to the girls' names. One girl has rose as a middle name, and the other has violet, so getting these two pendants. Just need to post the cheque today and hope they arrive in time.

Exciting to see I've moved up the list again (thanks emsbet for updating again). Hope all the boldies are having mummy cuddles soon.

OMG i'm 48 in the list, been over 50 for ages. Im 30 weeks today, so i'm sure its going to start going quick now hopefully.

I'm shattered today, didnt sleep great and woke up at 3.33 to a text from OH. Letting me know they have arrived in Cyprus and already DD has trashed the room. At least i know they are ok I hope she is being good for daddy.

I've got the decorators in today doing the hall and stairs, so i cant even have my afternoon nap.

:j:j After 30 odd hours of contractions they appear to have stopped, really shattered today though so nice lazy day for us

Did some googling last night to find quite a few tales of contractions that are regular but dont actually change the cervix, some go on for the whole of 3rd tri so im quite lucky if I only have the odd bout I suppose !

See I am whizzing up the list, thanks for doing them emsbet - I keep scrolling through to see my name only to realize that im further up which gives me a little :eek: moment ! wasnt that long ago I was chuffed to get out of the 60's.
