Oh ikkle, what a nightmare! Of course it should be you and OH that get 1st cuddles. You've created the little bundle and done all the hard work! Sometimes you just have to be selfish and pregnancy is one of the times. You have to do what you want and stuff everyone else.

My mums a bit weird, she can be lovely unless she's had a drink, or my step dad has said something to make her be an !!!. We haven't got the best of relationships and I don't hide the fact I am closer to my nan and grandad than I am to my mum, step-dad or dad but I thought considering I'm her first born and this is her first grandchild it might help us bond kind of thing but now I'm a bit worried as long as she stays sober and goes along with my wishes we should be fine it's just when she tries to take over that things might come to blows. She also said she hopes I go into labour before my cousin who is due the 11th August just so she can rub my aunties face in it at giving my grandparents their first grandchild and first great grandchild, so I'm concluding she's had a drink and talking poop. Still annoyed me though.

Any bodies or near due daters get pain when their baby moves now? My wee man every time he moves I'm in pain. I have constant period pain and lower back

Ikkle can't believe your mum said that! Did she honestly think you would want that. Good for you sticking your ground though. It's yours and OH's day I doubt I'll be letting OH have cuddles let alone anyone else lol.

Gemma happy birthday! Hope you have a lovely meal.

I went into town with my family. Wanted some disposable bottle for bubs incase breast feeding doesn't happen, purely as a back up. Saw they had four nuby ones for £3.49 online (in 3 for 2). However they were reduced to clear at £1.49. They only had one pack of 3-6 months though I got them anyway incase I need them later on. I got two bottles of SMA milk with a pack of two teats. It looks like they fit on these bottles. Hopefully I won't need them though. I'm sure our hospital does supply milk if needed but I don't want to be stuck. Also got some gripe water, calpol(had a coupon), pads for the bed, arnica tablets and few other random things. Think I've got most things now. But my bargain of the day a pair of 9-12 month shorts in Primark for next Summer....25p!

God I feel absolutely exhausted today. My body is physically shattered. Have come to bed already. Poor hubby, have barely seen him.

LMM you just reminded me when you said about bed pads. I'm thinking I might get a shower curtain and put that on the mattress and a towel on top then a sheet. Is that going to work if waters go? Has anyone done anything similiar?
