Re. Blood pressure - question for u girls. My bp is normally Low 90/40 at resting. But looking at my notes i noticed the bottom has gone up by ten at every appointment so now sitting at 120/80. Now I know this is normal for most people but as the pooh midwife yesterday barely glanced at my notes I wondered if this should be anything to be concerned about
I asked at my last appointment and they said if it's high 'for you' then they'd take it as a higher risk factor (I was curious as to how high my blood pressure would go as I'm also usually low). With your midwife troubles I think we can guess what the reason is though! I'd ask specifically next time you go in to see someone.

crazy weather here today, one minute sun the next thunder storms. my DH has just gone for a nap but i dont think it will be very relaxing with a thunder storm going on. he says he needs to be on form incase baby comes.

student - yay for last few days at work. i found pregnancy a lot easier to deal with once i finished work at 37+5.

cake4brains - congrats on your scan, you are our only lady expecting twins at the moment. i cant imagine what it will be like 2 moving around in there, its bad enoguh with one lol

Chrissy - congratulations on your little man :) daniel is the middle name we are using if we have a boy. excuse me you jumped the list:p

rjn - your BP does sound at a normal level, when is your next appt? maybe you should mention it, if it goes up again they may want to keep a closer eye on you.

Gemma - Happy Birthday - no labour vibes for you

feeling tired today, i tend to wake up every 2 hours because of hips aching, will be nice to get my body back once baby is here.40+ 5 today have been having a few pains low down but i think this is probably down to the fact i am carrying an extra 2 and a half stone! i really dont think i have had any braxton hicks at all - would be nice to know what a practice contraction feels like.

Jedi next appt is Friday. She said come back in two weeks but I ignored her lol and rebooked for one week. I know in theory that's a not al blood pressure but even when I'm stressed i have never seen the bottom number go over 60. And she took it first before I realised how incompetent she was lol. :)

Ugh! Just had serious words with my mum, she was telling me how she is getting the first cuddle of baby as soon as he is born not me or my OH, so I told her she wasn't and that as soon as he is being born he is being placed on my chest for skin to skin contact. So she carried on alarming saying she will be wearing clothes so he won't be touching her skin. She had a right go and in the end I told her it's in my birth plan that it's really important to me that the baby is placed on my chest first so we can have skin to skin contact and bond and if she doesn't agree and go along with my wishes I will change my birth plan to not include her and I will make sure she doesn't step foot in the room. She's now sulking with me but I don't care, if she can't be supportive then she ain't bloody coming in. I only asked her to be a 2nd partner because I thought it might help our relationship.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Oh dear hugs ikkle. Does she not know not to argue with the hormones lol. I'm looking forward to the birth experience with my oh. Not sure I could tolerate my mum being there too. You are very brave! Can't believe she thought it was appropriate to have baby before u tho !!!!

Ikkle, that's nuts! How can she think she'll get first cuddle afterwards after you've done all the work??

    Jen, congratulations!!
