Hi ladies, well I think I'm in labour. Woke up a couple of hours ago just not feeling right. My knickers were a bit wet so I think my waters are trickling and I had bad backache. Now I'm getting tightenings, like my braxton hicks I've been getting but bad backache at the same time.

Woke up OH and what did he say -- sorry babe but I need to sleep! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! So I've come downstairs to watch telly and catch up on here but I can't concentrate so I'm very sorry but I haven't caught up on the last 10 pages or so.

Want to get in the shower and wash my hair plus do the ironing and get a wash on so if I do end up in hospital today at least I'm a bit ahead of the housework when I come out. Am tempted to call my sister and get her over here now to help me cos I also want to change the bed and we've got a skip coming this morning so OH will be occupied.

By the way, please don't think OH was being completely heartless as he is due to work a night shift tonight so probably thinks he's still going in. At the moment -- I don't think so!

I will let you know how I get on later. Bit too scared to ring the labour ward just yet in case they tell me to come in now and I haven't washed my hair!!

    Sorry I haven't commented on other people's posts x

Oooh Chrissy best of luck! Make sure you keep us updated!
  • Rebekah - lovely to hear from you and the pics are gorg. Just wondered if you'd decided on a name for your little lady?

Chrissy - How exciting, you lucky lady, pinkies crossed for a quick labour. Your comment re OH made me laugh, that sounds like something my hubby would say!! He also wouldnt mean it badly, I just know my man loves his sleep!

Well I think something might be happening although very slowly. Had signs of mucus plug coming away (sorry to be yukky), lots of tummy tightening and back pain yesterday evening although nothing this morning. Im at the hospital again this morning for sweep number 2, so hoping we can still get into birthing centre.

Chrissy - I also got excited about it last night and washed my hair just in case we went into hosptial today.. lol

Good luck chrissy, its good to let oh get a bit of rest, I did that wheni was in labour last time. You end up running on adrenaline, you need oh with some energy for support.

Aw thanks! My LO was due 14th Nov 2010, but was a lazy imp and was 11 days late. How's your LO? There will be 2 years exactly between these two.

Are you on the TTC thread, or are you taking a break from babies?

Chrissy my OH would be the same and so would i probably... you don't function when sleepy so can say some crazy stuff... when my nan died (well we had been told only hours to live and she lived 350 miles away so no chance to get there before she passed)... mum text my oh saying to call her when he woke up as she knows he gets up at 5am so that she could warn him to wake me and she would come round and tell me and I just remember poor oh trying to wake me and me abusing him for it...must have been so hard for him as my nan was the only nan he ever knew and he loved her loads too so he is trying to wake me and i was abusing him and he was fighting back the tears :(
