ooh on Monday after the scan, we go to our first event together - Mothercare one. then next week some pregnancy fair but dont know where that is. and today i rang up, left a message to book 2 workshops at the hospital. one for labour and one all day one (only once at 34 weeks). is there anything else i need to look for or book? Looking forward to the mothercare event in Croydon. :)

At the end of the day, each one of us have to decide about dummies, just dont let other people make that decision for you. When i had DD i was 22yo and very naive, i had a dummy in my bag and the MW in the hospital told me off big time like i was a child when she saw it.
This time around, i am more confident about what i want/dont want, really hate doctors/Mw that treat you like a child and try to inforce you their opinions about things like a dummy or where the baby will sleep.

hmmm well just checked my scan pic from 20 weeks and my LMP date on there is wrong (too early by 4 days!). So that explains why my EDD is also 4 days earlier by the medical team vs my estimate... Will need to check how that got in there and whether it's in my notes wrong as well!

Sainsbury's basics nappy bags don't have too much of a scent and are about 10p for 100. Some others I found the smell sickening when I opened the changing bag. (Unused ones that is!)

Ok, I know this is creepy but I've done my detective work. Rebekah's OH has posted a pic on his Facebook. Little girl born at 2:22 this pm. Picture is adorable. No name though yet. There's more details there, I know Rebekah said she won't be on til the weekend, but I don't wanna announce it all. But looks like all is well :)

    So congratulations Rebekah :j :j
Thankyou for this! Going to be some time before I can do a birth story as life with a newborn is knackering!!NOTHING will prepare you for the sheer exhaustion!!:eek:Only 2 hours sleep last night.Cant say we bonded immediately and i'm maternal but we are getting there. She was a teensey 5lb 13 and ecv's failef as my uterus is bicorn/heartshaped so her head would been banging on the middle divide and unable to turn. I cannot under estimate the need to sleep when baby does during the day. You just do not know what the night will hold and its best to be prepared!!!And a 1-2 hr feed 1st night IS normal - s/he is telling your body to make milk now!!
