Thank you emsbet.
You're welcome. I never found it felt like flutters or butterflies and always thought it felt like one of those weird pulse things you sometimes get under your skin

Morning all!
Had a great day at NCT antenatal yesterday (it was our long 10-4 session). The boys were sent off to the pub for the last hour whilst we talked about blood loss after birth, maternity pads, bras etc, and then we joined them afterwards. We were there for quite a while after the class, and it was really nice to be able to have the time to properly socialise as the classes have so much packed into them that you don't really have much time to talk in the breaks. Most of the group went on to dinner at another pub, but unfortunately we had to to get home cos MIL had asked us to come over as someone had knitted us something! I've never even met this person, and I don't know if she thinks our baby is going to be a giant, but the cardigan is clearly for a 1year-old +. It's also not my taste at all!! It's all bobbly and quite old-fashioned. Moon thinks it's alright, but I think that may stem more from the fact that he knew the lady (she was a lollypop lady when he was little apparently).
Well I'm looking forward to our last session on Tuesday evening, although it'll be sad as it all seems to have gone so quickly. Hopefully we'll all meet up in between now and the births, although one lady in the group is due 23rd August, so not long to go for her now. I'm childminding on Tuesday and getting my hair cut in the afternoon, so I'm hoping that the parents aren't back from work too late as I'll need to rush home to get dinner in time before we head out.
Does anyone know when the Asda baby event is meant to start? Someone mentioned it on here the other day.
32 weeks today.
Hugs for all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.

Also Sainsbury has a baby deal, not sure if it's a good one but if you buy a pack of Huggies superdry or newborn nappies (£9) you get 9 packs of wipes for free. I'm tempted to buy a pack of nappies as I have a £2 off voucher:
http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp?bmUID=1343551189746
I thought this was a good offer when you combine it with the £2 off voucher from the Huggies website http://www.huggiesclub.co.uk/rewards/money-off-coupons/off-any-huggies-nappies
I bought size 2 newborn as the size 1s are cheapest when the Asda baby event is on and you can buy the Huggies newborn starter kit for £3.50 (free with voucher when you join the Asda baby club). Inside is a coupon for £2 off Huggies newborn which can be used on the next box you buy, so makes it £1.50. It contains a packet of 27 newborn nappies, a pack of Pure wipes and a pack of cotton wool sheets. You can do this again and again until either you have enough or the baby event is over.
I got 10 starter kits and from our experience with DD the 270 size 1 nappies will last less than a month. Also inside the boxes is a voucher for £1 off Huggies Pure wipes. They are usually £1 in Asda, so another free pack with every box you buy.0 -
Is someone able to update my due date.
Ive been put down at 8th Oct but im actually 8th Nov.
Thanks

I didn't buy anything today at the boot sale, it's slightly put me off my second hand buying. I was quite disgusted at one lady - she was selling the baby clothes at rip off prices anyway, but the worst thing was the vests and sleepsuits were covered in old poo stains all around the poppers. Another lady looking at the bits pointed it out to her and she said 'well, did you expect me to wash them?' One vest was actually crusty with it, I felt sick! I couldn't dress my own kids in things that filthy, let alone have the cheek to try and sell them!!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800

I was at a car boot last week ad there was a stall of baby boys clothes an I could have bought the whole thing but it was run by two men who despite seeing I was heavily pregnant had everything on the floor and I couldn't bend Down and they weren't sorted into size. They were so unhelpful.
My pet hate at car boots is the people smoking selling clothes or buyers flickin through the clothes with cugarettes hanging out of their mouths!!!love you lots like jelly tots0 -
Hello all. How are you?
Welcome willbedebtfree.
Thanks olga and moneypenny. :0) yes i will take these comments with a pinch of salt.i think i am at that ratty stage now. Dh is getting on my nerves too today as i want to chill out. He is clearing up some books to give to charity and i have my chemistry ones, so he wants to get rid of them and yet he hoards his ones. Then when i told him he is a hoarder he had a go at me and shouted. Grrrr
Moneypenny i haven’t been told what side my placenta is. When do they tell you that? I will check my notes to see. I had a grumpy woman who took my 13 week scan who just wanted us in and out. Stupid woman. Hopefully at the 20 week one i can ask that. I hope little bubs is ok. :0)
Thanks LMM i am actually not worrying about the movement as like you all are saying it varies with everyone and also the MW said after 20 weeks. Its just the experts like my mum and sister-in-lw asking me and then adding their stupid comments. It just annoys me. I am sure i will get calls asking whether i have given birth? I will have to just ignore them or tell DH to deal with them! Lol
Ikkle glad your OHs friend is not dead.
Glad you had a lovely baby shower emsbet.;) i would have cried my eyes too. Never been to one and from pics etc they seem like so much fun. Hope someone has one for me. Lol
Hey aida. My scan is on the 6th and its at 4pm.;) then after that we are going to the mothercare event in Croydon.cant wait to see bubba. Not long for us both at all!yay.. i have felt that pulse feeling only once.:) i did wonder what that was. Sometimes i cant tell whether its gas in my belly (well when its out i know it is) or like i am hungry. I suppose it will all make sense soon. so you are finding out then? DH tries his luck with me everyday now to ask me to reconsider not finding out. Lol. So i am not sure yet. So annoying when one wants to find out and the other doesn’t.
Oh dear katyliz that doesn’t sound very nice. That would actually annoy me. As it is i am finding smokers so so annoying. Recently in the metro paper where people put comments, one woman did say that she finds smokers so irritating and they are everywhere and have no consideration and people starting responding by saying stuff like ‘ does she expect the world to revolve around her because she is pregnant?’.
slept badly again. DH was still in his excitable state of passin his kung fu grading and i was thinking about so much stuff about the baby, our holiday. stupid thoughts. lolBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
Little Kung fu bubba due on the 24th of December 2012. :j

Ewww KatyLiz, that is gross... some people! I had a good car boot experience this morning fortunately. Probably sounds a bit mean but I usually have a good look at the seller before I buy & don't bother if they look a bit skanky lol! Got six vests & four babygrows for £3.20 from a lovely lady who was really helpful. Wish I had bought more, everything looked really clean & well looked after. I've done a couple of boot sales as a seller & would be mortified if the stuff I was selling wasn't clean.£2 savers challenge:dance:£152/£200:naughty:Still trying to pay off my CC£3,800/£4,343 paid off0

Afternoon everyone. Welcome to all the newbies and congrats to the new mummies :T
Pushchair was delivered Thursday, so exciting. Storing it at my brothers house though so cant have a play with it. Also went to the carboot sale this morning and was really struggling bending down to look through all the clothes, my brother was fed up of picking things up for me to look at by the end of the morning! Got 3 grobags in different sizes for £1 each. Saw a few nice dresses too but have got plenty of clothes for now.
Went tesco Friday and got a grobag reduced to £5 in 6-9 months. Couldnt really turn it down for that price!
My other brothers birthday today so going out in a mo to the local pub, his wifes throwing him a surprise party. Only thing is its a very tiny pub so after a couple hours I will no doubt be claustrophobic and ready for home
Got my 24 week scan on Wednesday, taking my Dad and hoping they will let him in the room with us, he's so excited!
Labour vibes and hugs to those that need them xx:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0
