Oh, and I know I keep banging on about darn nappy bins but I picked up my latest Bounty pack last week and there is an offer for a 1/2 price Angelcare bin from Argos or Mothercare. It finishes on 31/07 so rushed to town to get one. Thought if I'm buying a normal bin it will be at least a fiver so thought the Angelcare one for £7.49 would be worth a go. Voucher here if anyone wants it http://angelcareuk.co.uk/argos

    Hi All,

Hope you have all had a good wkend and cooler nights too.

    Welcome Newbies

I have had a busy wkend worked my last saturday before mat leave starts on weds :j

went booting this am although didnt find anything worth buying, I saw lots of people buying loads of stuff and eneded up thinking perhaps i dont have enough or am too fussy. It did put me off though with smokers looking through clothes and stuff being on the floor where i could look but not get down close enough to decide if i wanted it.

went to SIL this pm and her lovely friend was there who I have met a few times but barely know, anyway she has offered to get up in her attic and get down all the baby clothes she kept some with labels on and a nearly new love my bear toys r us buggy which she bought after her daughter needed a new one but then stopped using it within a month or so. :)

Its so nice that we keep being given things but i do feel guilty as we are not hard up and can by stuff for ourselves but dont want to sound ungratful. I will pass it all on to someone else who needs it once we are done with things so i suppose its ok.

Hope everyone sleeps well tonight x

Yes you can take gaviscon - you can take most antacids you just need to read the packaging as they normally have limits of around 7 a day but this can vary brand to brand. x

Ladies - linea nigra's. Who has them and how far up do they go? Mine goes all the way up to just under my boobs which according to old wives tales suggests baby is a boy. So how far does your go and do you know what you're having?

Hi, I didn't have one at all in my last pregnancy. I had a girl. I'm only 21 weeks now and don't have one. Even though I am a brunette, I am very fair skinned and light eyed. I thought a linea nigra might be more prominent in darker skin tones?

That could make sense CL. I have a dark skin tone.

I'm just reading up on old wives tales, gender guessing! Most things point towards boy but when I picture me, OH and baby, baby is always a girl. Eek, can't wait to find out. Hope baby is on time!

Hi everyone, just stopping by quickly to say that Luke Wynn Preston was born on Friday 27 July at 7.51am weighing 6lbs 5oz.

He is absolutely gorgeous but the birth was quite traumatic; I was induced and it was very painful, plus I was due to have an epidural and by the time they put it in the baby was coming so I got none of the pain relief. We were in hospital til Saturday lunchtime as Luke's blood count was low.

He cries through the night at the moment but hoping this will change soon. At the moment I feel really guilty that I'm not breastfeeding (Luke hasn't taken to it) and am giving him formula milk instead. Anyone else doing this? Should I stop making myself feel bad?

Still feeling quite ropey after the birth but hopefully better soon. Congrats to Robyn and hope Clarissa you have your baby soon. Love to all xxx
