I didn't feel my first until I was well past 20 weeks, mainly because I didn't have a clue what it felt like. It wasn't until someone said that it felt like wind (bubbles) fairly low down that I twigged. I'd had those sensations for a while but just didn't realise.

As for your sister-in-law, well, with two children she *must* be an expert. I had an *expert* of my own in the form of my sister who also had two children and thought that she knew it all - I never, ever asked her for advice about anything as I'd seen the results of her *expert* (read diabolical) parenting. Treat advice from *experts* with a rather large pinch of salt methinks!;)

I have never heard of a 17-week gestation baby being called lazy before; an interesting slant on it!

Rups between your mum and your sister no wonder you get so anxious. I'm sure I've said this before but I'll repeat myself. I didn't feel anything until 20 weeks, even then I wasn't sure for a few days. My midwife told me if you've not felt anything by 24 weeks then may be getting worried. However by then you'd have had your 20 week scan, which also will tell you where the placenta is. Do not let these people get you all worked up and more worried.
Chrissy glad the house is looking good now. Try and rest a bit now.
Wonder how Sillymoo and AMC are getting on.

Second late night out in a row, I'm shattered! Neighbours will start talking about us dirty stop outs lol. Just went to FIL for dinner. OH's cousin is staying and we met her 3 yr old girl for the first time. She's such a bundle of energy and chatty. Then she went to bed, not a peep no fuss, out like a light! Was amazed.

Hope everyone sleeps well, seems to be a lot cooler here.

Lol LMM he's still alive I've told both him and OH I think it's a bit out of order and that he can't just turn up on the doorstep. I'd never met him or anything and to get a text saying I'm sat outside your house when I'm in my jims and home alone is a pain in the bum. Have had to cancel our plans to go to my NANs for dinner tomorrow too.

I had a busy day yesterday and then a crap night's sleep as my hips were sore so I feel rough (almost hungover, without the previous night's drinking obviously) this morning.

We went visiting my mum then my little sister in the day. Then in the evening I went to my bf's for a takeaway, only when I get there it's actually my surprise baby shower! I was so shocked, I cried my mum, grandma and sisters were there as were some friends including some who'd driven the 80+ miles from where we live just for the evening I got lots of lovely presents including some stuff for me and my bf also bought things for my DH too

Welcome CherryDrop and will-be-debt-free. Glad you both joined the thread but you push me further down the list. Can believe that 2 weeks ago I was in the 70's group and now I'm back to 80's! No offence .

I felt more baby movements yesterday. It felt like pulse. The baby kicked me 4 times and than stopped. Is that how you supposed to feel?

Also Sainsbury has a baby deal, not sure if it's a good one but if you buy a pack of Huggies superdry or newborn nappies (£9) you get 9 packs of wipes for free. I'm tempted to buy a pack of nappies as I have a £2 off voucher:

Rups My scan is in 8th as well:j (I moved it so my OH to be there as well). So in less than 2 weeks we have our scan. Mine is in the morning, yours? Are you going to find out the gender or are you going for a suprise? We both want to find out the gender so we can start thinking about names and also to redecorate the nursery + to start buying stuff.
