Rups I think Kitten meant don't worry about anything at all considering you seem to worry a lot. As for the back thing you are fine, your body will instinctively tell you when you can't sleep on your back anymore, you will feel uncomfortable and out of breath. I sleep on my stomach all the time, it's the only way I can sleep unless I'm at my grans and then I sleep sat up on the sofa much to everyone elses amusement lol.

Was going to say morning but it's afternoon, so that :)

I have just gone past the six month post. Got a precious day off today, also doing a bit of studying bikelesschick.

I saw a physiotherapist yesterday, she confirmed I have got spd. Not great, have to go back on Monday afternoon to see if the techniques she has given me are easing the pain. Was really bad in bed last night. Otherwise she will get me a supportive belt. Joy!

Rups, I used to wake up on my back most mornings and was worried it would be an issue but I haven't done it for a while now and I think it's because I'm now too front-heavy to roll on my back :rotfl:

Like ikkle said, your body will know when you should not be on your back.

Rups, thanks for mentioning sleep position, and Thanks to all those who responded. I desperatly want to sleep on my front which isnt so comfy now at 34 +5 and cannot sleep on my sides so have constantly been sleeping on my back slighty propped by my pillows. I was worried this might cause baby to go back to back so spend alot of time sitting/standing straight and leaning forward all day.

it did start off cool here this morning but is now getting hot again, im sitting around trying not to do anything so i keep cool to go to work later without cankles.

  • Afternoon all!

Robyn huge congratulations. Glad all is ok now :)
Ferrety congrats to you and your cousin's family. Hope everyone is ok, I'm guessing if it was 3am it was a rush job.
Rups about sleeping on your back. Our midwife said at antenatal class that it's only 'dangerous' if you lie completely flat on your back, she says most people use at least one pillow. If your body couldn't tolerate it you wouldn't keep finding yourself there.
Clarissa good luck for your appointment today
Dizsie what a cheek, go and bang some pan lids under their windows lol.

Seems like a lot of you had a bad nights sleep :(
I only woke up just gone 11 am so slept for almost 12 hours with a couple of wee breaks. The last few days have been the same, still needing a doze in the afternoon. Was beginning to get a bit worried cos I'm so sleepy all day and just feeling dazed/fuzzy headache. Well ladies the mystery is solved. I went to take my stronger painkiller and realised it wasn't that at all, but a strip of diazepam! They look the same, I haven't been reading the writing just popping them out, the diazepam is from years ago so didn't even know it was in there. Luckily only really take them morning and night time. have no idea how many days I've been taking them by mistake. What a plonker.

I'm going to relax today, mainly as I'm zonked and hopefully going to tie OH into helping with house sorting so it'll be a busy weekend. Seems cooler here too. Happy Friday folks xxx

I just realised I'm finally 30 weeks today. It doesn't feel quite as long left now I can say that :)

dizsie - I would've wanted to go round there and scream at them, so inconsiderate of them. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

LMM- Hopefully you'll be feeling a bit more alert once they are out of your system. Is there any other side affect of taking it in pregnancy?

Hope everyone is having a good day. I've just been sat here watching the kids play through the window. I'm finding the holidays hard as I'm struggling to do anything with them, and it seems so unfair on them :( Hopefully when it cools down I'll be able to do more.

Thanks ladies. I think i need pillow support etc but i have to figure out where to put them to feel comfy. so muggy on the office now as people keep complaining that it was too cold first and now i cant bear it. i like it cooler. grrr..

i was completely flat on the back and as soon as i realise i try and change to side but that seems to be so uncomfy too. :) cant win. just had nandos and i am so full. :)

Rups if you had a pillow under your head then you weren't completely flat on your back lol.

  • Kitten - have a lovely time at the wedding!

Taadaa - I hope your studying is going well. I can't say I've done as much as I'd hoped so far:(. Really need to get this bit done today though. Sorry to hear about the spd:(

KatyLiz - I haven't got any other kids but I remember when I was young that I didn't mind my parents not always joining in. Also, it's only the beginning of the holidays so I'd imagine they're just happy they don't have to go to school?? I would be;)

I've just realised I'm in my third trimester. Silly me! 28 weeks today, another 12 to go, so much to do still
